I once laid eyes on an enlightened being in Samadhi. I was looking for a spiritual guide and visited many temples and came to one that appeared empty. I saw many books by the same author but could find him no where. So I walked around a bit, looking at a picture of Hanuman jumping out of Shiva’s dead body. I turned around and saw him. His olive skin blended so well with the walls I had not noticed him. He was totally unaware I was there. He was looking at the painting with a huge smile on his face. He was positively radiant. I didn’t have the nerve to disturb him. But his face, I will never, ever forget. His smile, his peace, his bliss. The possibility for enlightenment surrounds us. If we don’t pay attention, we’ll miss it. May we all strive to experience his bliss. ❤

The phenomenon of "no mind" is not the essence of enlightenment, but rather a foundation for wisdom to reveal. If the catalyst is a near-death experience, depression, cloistering in a cave, slipping on a banana peel, or whatever, then unless I commit to the same, of what value is it to me? Until we collectively die to the hypnosis of modern society, and wake up to a serious conversation whereby enlightenment is the centerpiece of leadership, politics, education, health care, business, technology, the arts... basically everything we robotically do, (including yoga, zen, vipassana etc), I predict there will be no dude around to be laughing, with no vegetables to sell and no vegetable stand.

He refuses to acknowledge that I am enlightened. I have told the story of how I did Isha Kriya and was reading Ramana Maharishi and had an epiphany and that evening was bestowed with enlightenment. It is a physical experience. My experience I grew as if I were fifty feet tall and everything was surreal and real at the same time. I blew apart and came back together.

it is so funny how some people here go crazy because he said he would bargain for chicken… I would say a great chance to do both, let go of your shock, disappointment, shattered world views and second, learn that INTERPRETING what someone says does not necessarily mean you hear what was being said. @@solomonomoon Already expressed vegetarian or non vegetarian is very trivial point as far as enlightenment topic is concerned. It cannot be expressed in words but only to be experienced. If not 100 %, at least some yogis and rishis expressed this state reasonably closer to this experience in some scriptures. Sadguru experience of this state in one his vedeo at Mysore Chamundeswari temple is one of the best as per my view.
