CJ and Gabe just interpreted the music differently, listening to their two videos. He always makes everything look easy, but this is the probably the most chill I've ever seen CJ play. Gabe's version felt more wide open, but he was still in step with the music.

Keep them coming i love these reaction video's. I believe there is No such thing as who is better. That's just subjective to one's own ear and what sounds pleasant to them. I like to look at the artist themselves they're painting their own canvas on whatever instrument they happen to be playing. Everyone's art is different and it's their own expression of what's inside them. I enjoyed the video love seeing and hearing these musicians and allow us to see their Art😊. Listen and appreciate it. However I should add that there are things you have to do to play to your fullest potential 😉.

No offence to anyone, but it's CJ by a mile. Gabe is a talented and perfectly capable drummer who still has a lot to learn in terms of the actual music. But CJ is more advanced in the way he actually digests the music and regurgitates it in his own way. I think that CJ is a phenomenal drummer I haven’t heard Gabe so I can not speak to his abilities however there are 2 points that I dislike about CJ 1) often his videos the sound quality is poor I don’t always attribute this to CJ. I attribute this to whoever is recording him at the time bc when you place your phone or recording device make a tremendous difference on the sound quality of the recording and often the drums sound “meshed” together there is no or little distinction in the sounds and that really takes away from the overall quality and the concert experience itself. 2) He’s not a dynamics drummer meaning that every thing is LOUD always! CJ is phenomenal I know bc I’ve heard him live and I love him and have been a fan of John P Kee since the 90’s however dynamics distinguishes musicians from drummers. Billy Cobham is one of the most prolific and dynamic drummers of the modern era. He plays with awesome speed and power and you can hear every note. He can play softly with speed and distinction as well as loudly with distinction. That is my criticism. But again I love CJ for what he does. He hypes you up with his abilities and his energy.

I would respectfully disagree.. I've seen cj play in person and EVERY note he plays is dynamic, cameras dont cut it.. its mind boggling to see in person.
