The super long red fabric with sequins and beads is part of a Sari. In India it tucks into an underskirt and wraps around the body. Red is often used at wedding celebrations.

Hawaii 88 , mine is Hawaii 78 . I only paid $10.00 for it back in 1978 and have been wearing it as a night shirt ( about once a week ) ever since . I wash it once a week but I only air dry it . Best 10 bucks I ever spent as it's 100% cotton and no holes in it to day but I must admit it's getting a little thin these days . Well , it has been over 40 years !!! Found the post card in the gift shop, but even better, I found a large framed copy at an on-line auction here in town, & won it w/o any competition! It has to stand on the floor in my living room because I don't have enough walls in my home, & have lots of my artwork leaning up against my walls!---I liked the speed of this search.

Here in India I notice that T-shirts come with single stitch nowadays. Hardly any double stitch seams anymore. Last summer in Europe the same story.... But most of the textiles come from South East Asian over there. I think the US gets more from East Asian. But it seems the manufacturing process has changed, so be aware of it. Love your channel

It's super rare to lose money, unless I overpay. I paid $8k for one a year or two ago, which supposably had a coin collection in it. We nearly broke even, but never fully recouped the investment. But mostly the only thing we lose is time/labor, that's often the real cost.

please ive put this here before but the best way to check single stitch is the shirts sleeves as well as the bottom. Checking seams like that isnt a full proof method. Always hurts hearing him call it one or the other when hes not checking the ideal place

Thanks Valerie. We do usually put higher end glasses in the auction, even prescription ones (non sunglasses). But with cheap ones like this, they went straight to the market.
