I Can’t See the Top of a Window, so I Can’t Minimize, Maximize, or Close. What Can I Do?

Most people ( me also ) have very short attention spans say problem then bang bang bang give us solutions quick burst . Example " Hey is the top bar of your window not showing these problems may fix it * step1 *, * step 2 * and maybe *step 3 * that's it your done. Tell us exactly how you would want to tell yourself when you didn't know how to do it ^^

Found this when searching for a solution - 2 years after you posted it ... and it worked! I have 2 monitors, slightly different sizes and sometimes get windows that are "trapped" on one because they opened on the other & now I can't see/click on the menu bar. Alt-space, move, and keyboard arrows works like a charm! Thank you!!

Can't say I knew of alt space. I've been stuck a few times on a low res screen, trying to change setting, however the 'apply' button is off the bottom of the screen, using the mouse on the title bar does not allow it to be moved up enough to get to the bottom, but Hey, your keyboard move technique does let me slide the title bar way off the top! Hopefully I remember this next time I'm trying to fix someone's muckups.

One more shortcut you can use is windows + D to minimize or maximize your browser window.

You can move the window by holding Super in GNOME (which I have because it's Fedora's default DE)

I was able to open the menu but the menu has maximize as "unclickable." I didn't see that addressed in this video. What do I do?

Applications can disable the menu items, so it depends on whose window it is you're attempting to work on.

At the 1:25 timestamp of this video, you said, “a maximize icon which in Windows 10 is also a gateway…”. Did you mean to say Windows 11? Unless you're using Windows 10 with Microsoft PowerToys.

alt spacebar does not display the system menu for me, instead, it displays an option to type for doing a search. Using Windows 11

Yes, it was a power toys setting. obviously not using it since I forgot I set it.
