Thank you so much for talking about the utter lack of chemistry between Adrienette! Really, once they got over the whole “Adrien smiles fondly and in slight confusion at Marinette’s outbursts and antics” dynamic they had going on, there was literally nothing left! With Adrien having little to no character quirks, there really wasn’t a whole lot of room to explore how their personalities could bounce off one another - because Adrien has none. But seriously, why does this show glorify stalking so much? Marinette got with Adrien after 3 seasons of stalking, then they tried to excuse this behaviour with a terrible, half baked backstory. And Felix ends up with Kagami after stalking and KIDNAPPING her. And also a friendly reminder that majority of his appearances did include him doing bad things, like giving almost all of the miraculous to HawkMoth and basically killing everyone in Paris.

Adrinette is my least favorite ship in the love square but Adrien's sudden clinginess actually makes so much sense to me. Up until season 4, being Chat Noir (and by extension his relationship with Ladybug) was the only form of escape Adrien had. But the conflict Ladynoir in season 4 went through kinda ruined that permanently for him. So he uses his relationships with Marinette as an escape now. It’s evidenced by how much he links his relationship with Marinette to his freedom. His love for Marinette itself is kinda of him rebelling against his father. The issue tho, is that this actually really sad and in no way healthy but the show pretends that its romantic instead of treating it as a flaw Adrien needs to overcome. The prime example is the scene where Adrien says Marinette is the only thing, he is sure about in his life. This moment was meant to veiwed as romantic and sweet but Adrien didn't say it only because of his love for Marinette, it's because everyone else in his life is either abusive or beyond toxic. There's a difference between choosing to love someone that intensely and doing it because you have no one else left. Adrien has used his relationship with Ladybug as a coping mechanism in the past (the reason why it took him so long to move on) but the show actually treated it as something he needs to learn and grow from That's the only reason why people feel S5 Adrien is too "bland" or whatever. Not because his flaws are not there but because they're not acknowledged as such. My only hope is, Adrinette this season is supposed to feel off in purpose. It's the overly cringe honeymoon period because we're probably getting heavy angst next season

In seasons 1-2, they actually felt like REAL characters with REAL two-dimensional chemistry. Adrien had a litte bit of sass going on with this popular guy type of persona, kinda his chat noir side. Marinette was ACTUALLY relatable. Their alter egos actually FELT like cool superheroes who know what they’re doing. LB’s confidence and CN’s flirty side were depicted sooo well. THIS is the reason the show was even successful in the first place. But now.. they’re literally UNRECOGNISABLE. It doesn’t seem like a superhero show at all. There’s no stakes and “character development” comes out of absolutely nowhere. It’s so random. And their superhero personas are completely erased, they act EXACTLY like their civillian forms. The show has dumbed them down sooooo bad. It’s not just because of the animation, but the actual PLOT. The writing is non existant. Literally watch one episode from season 1 and compare their characters to season 5, you’d think they are written by entirely different people. They are soo one-dimensional, they act like complete babies. Some people will probably say, “oh, they are teenagers, they are going through so much more stuff” but thats not even the point. How can an original fan of the show be expected to actually take interest in two characters whose unique personalities have been wiped out?

Also, teenagers don’t act like this at all. There is NO angst and the show fails to capture any meaningful reaction whatsoever, BECAUSE, the vibe is just not there. We are left with robots for characters. Since s1-2, The ONLY good episode was Hack-san, where CN felt like an ACTUAL character. He was soo sassy. Instead, the show could’ve taken a much more dramatic route, with real tension and enticement. There were soo many better ways to continue the story than the one they’ve given us.

Girlll I love your take, but at the end of the day, it’s a lighthearted kids show. I just rewatched it the other day. In my humble opinion, it’s nice to just see something carefree and simple, especially as a teen. Not everything has to be an absolute masterpiece. This is more like comfort food compared to a gourmet meal. Again, I loved the video, and I did agree with some of the points you made, especially with the whole Adrienette thing, Cat Noir not being present for the season finale, and the show having everyone enter a relationship. Firstly, Adrien was never meant to confront his father as Hawk Moth. The authorial intention was for him to be trapped in London by his own father, which makes complete sense! No opportunity has been wasted whatsoever, because that opportunity has been explored twice. As for Felix, you fail to realise that he was characterised as an anti-hero who only betrayed Ladybug in order to obtain the Peacock Miraculous from Gabriel. As Argos, he realised the consequences of abusing his powers when he believed that he lost control of them, such that he couldn't bring back Marinette. Also, he kidnapped Kagami in order to talk to her, because he wanted to take her away from her mother's influence and reveal their identities as sentimonsters. Just because he is manipulative and intelligent, that doesn't mean that he knows much about personal relationships, especially romantic ones. He was redeemed because of his own remorse and his desire to help Ladybug so that she could confront Monarch. Your stance on Marinette's character is bizarre. The episode explained her obsessiveness and her need to understand everything about a boy whom she likes. And she was also more interesting in this season, especially given the reversal of the love square and her resolve to take back the Miraculouses from Monarch. Meanwhile, Kim's naivety has been detailed numerous times in previous seasons. The fact that he can't admit his mistake for being such a jerk to Marinette is also a familiar trait. Chloe has always been self-absorbed and egotistical. In fact, her downfall as the mayor of Paris is an excellent demonstration of how power had gone to her head. Gabriel's relationship with Adrien has been thoroughly explored, and his abuse and control over his life was best portrayed in season 5, where he had to regularly use Adrien's amok to give him commands. That's also why Nathalie became so confrontational and wanted to free Adrien from his father's hold. Also, he was never redeemed. Ladybug simply made him realise the futility of his dreams and how Adrien would be left alone without him and Nathalie. Because of that, he decided to sacrifice himself (despite the fact that he was going to die anyways) in order to restore Nathalie's health. This characterisation makes perfect sense, especially since he ends up with his wife anyways. Marinette upholds his desire to not reveal his true identity to his son because she didn't want Adrien to be in torment. Gabriel's desire to remain good in Adrien's eyes is obviously selfish. Addressing your section on other notable things: Season 5 had much more plot progression, which was seamlessly embedded into the villain-of-the-week format that we're all familiar with. Season 4 didn't imply anything about a deviation from this format. The side characters were also explored, especially considering Rose's illness, Juleka's frustrations, Sabrina's betrayal of Chloe, and Lila's disguises. And nothing from season 4 was thrown out! Every character's arc was fully resolved.

It's so bizarre to see how disturbing Adrinette has become over the course of the show, especially since I went through all of my teenage years through it and was comfortably in my adult years when season 5 came out. Them getting together was NOT a win. I was so concerned by how teenagers, who saw nothing wrong with Adrinette becoming canon, would take this into their own values and their own lives. Stalking people? Trying to find out private information about them without their consent or knowledge? Baseline respect for Adrien as a human being? Imagine if we let anyone with trauma justify doing whatever they want because they have trauma. And Marinette is no exception to that. She needs to deal with her stuff before being rewarded with the object of her delusions and fantasies, because yes, that's all that Adrien really is to her- and we know this by how she treats him. Season 5 was horrific in many other aspects, but I've seen teens stand up for Marinette's stalking. I've seen them flippantly mention doing the same to their own crushes. It's so disturbing how this show raised the youth. Criminal. Horrible.

Unfortunately, as long as this hen continues to lay golden eggs, nothing will change in this series. 😔 Either you accept this series as it is now or you walk away from this production and never come back to it. My adventure with this series is not over yet, but looking at the terrible state Miraculous is in, I have the impression that it will end faster than I can imagine. And the worst thing is that no matter what the next seasons will look like, the creators will not be in the red when it comes to the financial aspect. Why? Because they simply know how to sell it, WORLD-CLASS MARKETING, they would be able to sell meat to vegans, I'm convinced. I dont think its your fault the show went downhill on season 5, felix was great, he was ruthless, ladybug couldnt beat him with force and i loved that he was like a child with a knife, not understanding the destruction he could create until he thought he lost control of his power. But the main problem was that Felix was nerf so hard that he didn't want to do sentímonsters wich made him less active and so less of a threat and so he was cast aside but the main problem of this series came from the fact that they don't understand how love works, they have such a idealized definition of if love that they make every relationship perfect, true love isn't only loving a part of someone you have to love that person as a whole (flaws and all) and grow with that person, and not cause you and other person are the same means you're meant to be. Because of their idea of love Marinette became superficial and Felix creepy, Lila was also a great concept but they made her weirdly op out of nowhere and the fun part is that people actually believes Marinette did the right thing by lying to Adrien to his face when she's literally doing what Gabriel did

Which people are you talking about? I haven't yet seen a single person who thought her lying was right. If they really thought it was right, then I don't know what to think of them. This is one of the reasons people are hating the season ending(including many more reasons). And if you are talking about in-show characters, then there is not a single person who has told her she did the right thing. London special at least did one of these things right. If we consider this show's history, I was expecting that people will tell her she did what was right when she was feeling if it was the wrong choice to lie to Adrien. But surprisingly, characters like Kagami were totally against the idea but just didn't go against her decision and then Bunnix who travels through time didn't encourage her decision but told her that this is a decision that she made and she will have to live with the consequences it will have good and bad. I completely agree, Adrien needs to stop acting like a bot. Honestly, even ChatGPT has more personality than he does at this point. He's such a plain and boring character. I really don’t think Gabriel intentionally made him so robotic, so we can’t just blame it on him being a Sentimonster. I don’t understand why he acts like this. This trend continued in the Season 5 finale, where he had almost no involvement. He’s always been kept in the dark, Master Fu didn’t prioritize him, and the narrative constantly overlooks him. But with Season 6, things seem to be changing. If you compare the Season 5 and Season 6 posters side by side, there’s a subtle difference. In the Season 5 poster, Cat Noir is more tucked away, with just his mask visible. But in the Season 6 poster, he’s more prominent, you can see his full head, even his hair. It feels like a visual hint that he’ll have a bigger role this season. There’s also another Season 6 poster where Ladybug and Cat Noir are falling, and he’s positioned farther away from her. That could symbolize growing distance between them, maybe because he discovers she lied to him or some big drama unfolds. It might reflect a loss of trust or a shift in their dynamic. I didn't watch season 5 fully (and idc to watch it cuz ive lost interest in the ACTUAL show) but, Adrimette sucks. They lack chemistry, Marinette *stalked* Adrian and MEMORISED his schedule for the next 15 years. Why are they together? Ladynoir isn't as bad, but Cat Noir's constant hitting on Ladybug and not respecting her boundaries is a definite flaw (ik it got addressed later, so props to the writers for that ig). Ladrian. No. Marinette *broke into Adrian's house* as Ladybug, and he's *_okay_* with it. Not to mention the creepy stuff she did like smelling his pillow(also their awkwardness is somewhat annoying but that's js an opinion-) Marichat. Ik CN kept appearing on Marinette's balcony, but its not INSIDE HER BEDROOM and he didn't actually touch anything. They have SO MUCH more chemistry than the other three ships combined, they don't overstep each other's boundaries and they actually have more meaningful conversations. They can't have conversations in ladynoir because they're fighting villains, adrainette because Marinette (need i say more?) And ladrian for the same reason. Need I give more reasons as to why marichat is the best ship in the love square?

In order to write a realistic character, it is necessary for them to inhabit strengths and flaws which balance each other out as well as a deep desire or world view that sets this character apart from the others. This is especially important when writing a main character. However as we’ve all obviously witnessed Adrien is a 2 dimensional character who add very little to the story, because is a desireless, apatheti and empty person who simply follows other characters, rather then his own melody. When he and Marinette became a couple the dude only turned into an extension of her. Yes he is a sentimonster, and i guess that plot can somewhat save his poor writing because a living being under someone elses control wouldnt need to be portrayed realistically, because he is not human. I still disagree with the execution of the plot, since everyhting can be translated in an entertaining and intruiging setting, if Adrien is to be a mindless slave then dont make him normal one episode then a monkey the next. Consistensy buildup etc, all of that is important, but miraculous lacks an enormous amount of fundamental writing structures in which make a good story. Marinette……ye mary sue for sure, if you cant see that id suggest reading up on your literature.

Oh my gosh so season 6 is coming out soon I'm not that very excited about it though because season 5 just was terrible I am excited to see what Lila would do as the butterfly holder of the holder of the miraculous but that's literally the only thing I would find interesting but also I would like to see what happens when you find out his dad was monarch and see if he really gets mad at ladybug or something but that's the only thing I'm excited about because season 5 was just kind of boring and like there are some episodes that are a waste of time and effort when we could have just made like better episodes that are worth people's time.

Oh please, honestly I'm fed up with people looking at the series in such a superficial way. Personally I loved S5 because of all the depth it maintained throughout the season and the emotion they expressed throughout the episodes. I understand that there are people who don't like it, but you can't be so picky about a series MADE AND DIRECTED FOR CHILDREN. There are limitations when creating a series and the Target that Miraculous has is difficult to handle in a narrative. From my point of view, I was satisfied with everything they have shown so far. Are there things that need to be improved? Yes, but that is what progress is showing, there will be more seasons for a reason. If you don't like it JUST DON'T WATCH IT.

Something being aimed at children has no implications in the quality of the writing. Miraculous is made for kids, so I expect to not find blood, extreme violence, explicit mention of certain themes... That has nothing to do with the presence of inconsistencies, unnecessary dragging of plot lines that end up not being completed and constant resetting of the story as the only form of development. It's not like the presence of bad writing makes the show any more kid friendly. Also, despite the contrary belief, kids are smarter than a potato. It's not like they can't understand emotions, especially when they're watching a story that might reflect a bit of their life too. "if you don't like it JUST DON'T WATCH IT". Sure, I won't watch something that I don't want to watch. But why is that even relevant for the context at hand? The video and the comments are mostly providing actual proper criticism. They aren't outright bashing the show for no reason. There is a big difference between disliking something and not liking the direction something has taken. If the video went along the lines of "I don't like miraculous because I don't like super heroes or will they won't they plots", sure, "if you don't like It, don't watch It" applies perfectly. However, the author clearly points out positive aspects that simply followed paths she isn't satisfied with.

bro if you looks at callimara's series of rewrites you will instantly see the improvement. (warning: adriennete is not a ship in it, but you could always keep it like that. Like in her version she made it Kagadrien and Lukanetter [i ship lukadrien fight me] but you could ship what you want). BUT ADRIEN HAS SO MUCH MORE PERSONALITY ITS AMAZING AND THEY MADE MARINETTE BETTER THEY HAVE CHEMISTRY UGHHH

Just like season 3-5 i hate this season because animation is terrible and downgraded we have many errors animations and nothing else l don like felix i hate vesperia because replace queen bee where ladybug gives her a miraculous after knowing her for only one day and keeps often giving the bee miraculous and became mary sue and nothing else and she lesbian from marinette and marinette being stalked yandere evident from adrien and i hate thomas arstruc because destroyed characters development from chloe bourgeois from final episode from season 3 andrew brenner from thomas and friends should been head writer from miraculous ladybug and would been much better and tone from 3-5 season have more darker these seasons overall nearly ruined the series is truth damn disapointed just like thomas and friends hit and miller era from season 9 to 16
