I retired at 62 years old, so I had to go on affordable health act. It was horrible, I don’t remember how much I paid. None of my doctors would take the insurance. I went to work at Home Depot and was able to get dental eye insurance. I applied for disability because I have degenerative disc disease, vertigo, balance issues and I could fall at anytime, I also have a condition that causes me to faint. I can’t stand without pain at all, I can’t sit for more than 30 minutes without pain. It took 2 years for me to get disability. With disability, I was able to get Medicare. The Affordable Care Act is not only not affordable, but useless.

Talking about insurance I was a union worker for 32 years and after paying my union dues I was guaranteed health insurance for the rest of my life. But when it came time for me to retire everything was ok. But after I retired I no longer had that health insurance. And I had life insurance of 27,000 and it went down to I believe 10,000. So after all that I’ve got no use for a union.we tried to get the union to represent us, and they couldn’t do it. So you had better check out your contract.

We jumped on the insurance. They paid my family insurance until my kids turned 25 or 26, and paid mine and my wifes until we turned 65 and we went on medicare, and they pay for a supplement on both of us until we die, and they pay for life insurance on me, til I die😎 I told my kids this, and you need to pass it on to your boy, you can marry more money in 10 minutes, than you can make in a lifetime.

They pay for girls here with a child then the second and third with huge EBT amounts for food, rent,100% health care and not in college or taking classes and the Dad to not working or paying child support!! Our country needs to reward working people citizens that pay taxes!!! And help youths who wants college to have better pay by what"Them working" paying taxes one day!!! I wouldn't let Jen come either if she spent $80 on soup and cornbread................LOL i'M kidding! I cook for just me and I make a HUGE stock pot of veggie beef soup and freeze qts (well really, all kinds of soups and sauce w/ and without meat) and spread the costs out over a 2/3 months for ingredients so it doesn't bite so hard. My daughter has taken over holiday meals and birthday dinners but I have my role. I do the country stuff (collards, cornbread dressing,, coleslaw, creamed (or fried) corn that kinda stuff) and I do Traditional southern new years day dinner, st patricks corned beef n cabbage, traditions I grew up with. I do the cake baking and pie making, but my youngest granddaughter spent so much time with me in the kitchen she has now assumed that role using my recipes. Oh, she makes my deviled eggs now too. Aint a southern meal without deviled eggs...........lol. And if I see meats at a really good price like pork butt, rib roasts, brisket (13 of us just in immediate family) I'll buy it and throw it in my freezer and let my daughter know what I have on hand for our next family event. We cook a lot of pork butt.......smoked, bbq'ed, Mexican carnitas, and I make with gravy for NY. I c im on a food rant and haven't even gotten to health care coverage yet. I've got Medicare and supplemental. It's expensive, but I've had 2 hip replacements, a dislocated shoulder and 6 mos pt and never saw a bill. The only one I even know the costs of was dislocated shoulder. 18K to re-set it, kept me in er for HOURS, lots of xrays and drugs, they gave me lots of drugs. I was so mad I asked when in the heck is somebody gonna reset my shoulder? Giggles, we did that already.................we're just waiting on you to sober back up so we can release you. That one simple procedure took longer than either one of my hip replacements. I was home 5 hours following my hip replacements. I was in er 6 plus. Rant Over............lol
