Another job interview is a normal thing to do, if your employees aren’t aloud to look for better opportunities good for them. It’s not really any of your business as the boss if they go to job interviews. Looking for another job doesint mean there’s anything wrong at the current job, just means he wants to see what else is out there. You cant entrap your employees and make them feel stuck.

One out of many reasons women make less on average then men. They don’t go ask for more money/ hours. I’ll be the first person going to the boss for more money or hours. I just know what I bring to the table and not afraid to ask. It can’t hurt. I’ve usually found small companies will give that extra money and big corporations you might as well find another job. The best thing I found was start your own business. Been doing landscaping/ lawn mowing for 14 years now. Nothing beats the harder you work the more money you make per hour. I made more money in 6 hours today than what I’d make in a full week as meat manager. So glad I left that crap.

Expecting your employees to go to talk to their boss about issues is a ridiculous viewpoint. Of course, you would talk to your employee because you are in a position of power. The employee has no power at all. If they express issues, they could just as easily be fired as not. You are not appreciating the power dynamics. Im 47 been running heavy equip going on 30yrs. 2 of jobs i had closed doors the other i was laid off and seeked work insted of unemployment. 3 of those jobs if ya mention you may have another job the owners blew a gasket and fired the guy or treated bad after. Mainly they just can’t handle the work and heat here in West Virginia. But I think you handled it well with the employee. Everyone knows you’re busting their balls. I mean there is a lot that goes on behind the camera that no one sees. I feel like you take care of your guys pretty well. I mean, if you didn’t you’d have a lot of turnover and you don’t! Sure you might not have all brand new trucks, but those are probably some of the most reliable trucks except for the Maybe the previous generation. Years ago the company I’m with had two of those trucks and one of them they didn’t keep as long as you, but it made it to 120 something thousand but that ran and I don’t think it ran into a major mechanical problem. If I lived in Wisconsin area & was looking for a job after seeing I would definitely be putting in an application. Like I said, I think you’re a good boss. I don’t think you tolerate any BS which is understandable I feel like you’re pretty laid-back as long as everything gets done at the end of the day you’re probably like one of my bosses Ryan only stupid shit gets you upset. I also understand that there’s times people will be serious, it is stressful. I just run the lawn side of the company I work with, and I can certainly say I’ve stressed myself out way more than I should.

Just caught on a few weeks ago. Pagel seems Like the kind of boss you could write your own script with as long as you earned it. He’s got so much going on. If dude was getting burned out, he could go another route easily… Maybe even a paid road trip for double stroker supplies

Employees ALWAYS want more money if they are deserving of more money and they are reliable and you can depend on them and the work they are doing can accommodate giving them more money it should be given to them if you’d like to keep them happy working for you otherwise resentment will build and they will eventually leave. If there’s one thing I’ve learned the squeaky wheel gets the grease(in this case more money) usually the best workers aren’t squeaky wheels so they get no grease and the wheel eventually just comes off. For far too long employers have had the power and took advantage of good employees who keep their nose down and bust butt however people are sick of it and rightfully so. a good dependable hard working employee in todays world who can deal with customers do top notch work and is reliable is almost as valuable as all the profit they bring in especially if they do basically all the work.

Build brackets on each side of the lift extending upward . Pick the cab up from the top , it would be more stable hanging the weight of the cab .

I agree communication is key unfortunately my family doesn't believe in communicating at all they expect everyone to read their minds im the only one in my family that believes in communication the sad reality of my life my friends say that I communicate better than most people they know

One thing 1000% this employee and all others will look to this video of why they will never bring up anything about their outside of ur company actions for fear of being made into a video were the boss profits off the employee doing nothing illegal or wrong. Can’t be upset that the person is seeing if the grass is greener elsewhere

Not upset at all that he is trying to better himself? unsure how you came to this conclusion if you watched the whole vid. Just wish he could have let me know his concerns so I can try and make him happier. We love Jon, he is our friend. We want what's best for him.
