The spectral serpent is really rare. It took me an aurora borealis, 21 truffle worms and about 30 minutes of merlins luck to get it and I just barely manage to reel it when aurora borealis, my truffle worms and merlins luck is about to ran out.

Yeah bro I recommend you appraise it and get sparkling and shiny on it, to do it more easily you can buy sundial totems and keep using using them until it says "A shiny surge has begun" on your screen (this means shiny chance is increased) or if you get "Night of the luminous has begun" (this means that sparkling chance has been increased) you can appraise in these 2 events and you'll get shiny and sparkling (SHINY AND SPARKLING EFFECTS WON'T REMOVE FROM YOUR FISH EVEN IF YOU APPRAISE IT) so yeah bro, good luck on the appraising
