The ability to catch the shiny legendries in the wild makes sense now. I caught two shiny Entei in the wild. Overall the Tour was ok, but I agree with others that it should've at least went across the weekend instead of the short time it was active.

In my opinion, Johto Tour would’ve been better if it was split into 2 or maybe 3 days. The event was really stressful for me because of how short it was. I missed out on a lot of research and other encounters since I can’t play 12 hours in 1 day. Hell my phone would die before them. But if it was split into a longer period of time, it would have been a lot more fun.

I was really excited about this event. It turned into stress with all these things to complete. I even missed out on evolving Espeon during daytime becuase I somehow decided to deal with evolving pokemon later so I could'nt compete all challenges. The battle challenges spawns was really strange and I could'nt complete that either. I went all in with my money and had some fun on raids but over all, I was sad, mad and frustrated about the stress and the things I missed to complete. >:I

I loved the Johto Tour but to be honest as fun as it was the research bit was too overwhelming for me and many other players in my community. I faced a small glitch where the NPC research stopped after the second stage less than an hour into the event and I was informed by my friends that we could turn off the NPCs IF we completed that research. I had to restart the game and it took so long to complete those challenges that I had no time for evolutions. 21:26 I know I don't need to do all the stuff but when I am paying ₹ 1,050, which is ₹150 over the price paid by players in the USA, I expect to have fun and get all the resources (via raids/collection challenge/research) that I already PAID FOR. But it was a fun event none the less with way less problems than I expected.

While I had fun with friends during the tour and got a decent amount of shiny mons, so I can’t complain in that regard as others have and rightfully so, the research and raid shiny rates was abysmal. Not to mention Unown for our group seemed very scarce. To have paid for a ticketed event and have a featured mon be raid locked and have base 1/450-1/500 odds is unacceptable. I don’t expect CD shiny odds at all, but something at least better than base odds since many people paid for the event.

It's not just the odds for me, it's lack of clarity on them. If Niantic wants to offer base odds, fine, but I wouldn't have spent 30 passes on corsola if I'd known. Also, I didn't finish the Celebi quest on Saturday because my buddy wouldn't earn candy for some glitchy reason. Finished it on Sunday and received a Celebi without Magical Leaf. =/ A longer window on quests and evolutions would have taken some pressure off.

Johto got 1 ‘new to me’ shiny and 2 others I’d had loads of already 🙄 Gyarados was a bust and got deleted as I have better ones than research gave me (I was disgusted with it actually. I wish Niantic took the way WAY better approach to the hourly challenges (catch/whatever) by only showing the challenge for that hour when that hour starts. That or at least keep them on the screen/page after they've been rolled out one by one after each hour. Would make that first page way less intimidating + overwhelming. This was my first major event- I bought the ticket and played from home for the first few hours, then spent the next few at a local park. There was a lot to get through, but I enjoyed most of it. The legendaries in the wild was a major highlight, and I really hope they bring this back in some form. The only thing I didn't like were the battle challenges with the trainers. I spent 5 hours searching for these, and only got half of them finished. It was very disappointing.

In the original Pokémon games, black, white, x,y etc... I always had at least one encounter with a legendary wild Pokémon. So it follows there should really be wild legendaries in pogo. The battle trainers task, I only found 1 after hours of searching. I’ve contacted support and told them about that. The only task I couldn’t complete.

I finished most of the collections but couldn’t get around to do those 15 trainers I was supposed to battle at PokéStops. I heard Corsola was about a 127/47k shiny rate? Which is the biggest problem I had with this event. The sheer amount of people that didn't get one despite how many raids and money they put in with that huge of a disappointment is really discouraging and a huge let down to the whole player base.

Main issue was that there were a lot less people playing Pokemon Go here. Last year there seemed to be people everywhere playing the Kanto event and I found several large groups to walk around with. I also thought it was pretty "cute" of Niantic to switch out the normal incubator box with a smaller box of incubators. Made me wish I had bought more before the event started. Maybe they did it to make more incubators available for FTP trainers on a budget?

The first two and half hours of the event, I got zero shinies. It wasn't until after the guaranteed Gyarados that I actually started finding wild ones, so that was really demoralizing. I did get pretty lucky with the ones I got though, which was nice. And I feel like Niantic should really take into account weather and such with their events. It was below freezing the whole day. Luckily my mom is an angel and was willing to drive me around the city park for a few hours because I needed to hatch an Igglybuff for the dex. I didn't do most of the raids, or the trades, or any of the evolutions. I didn't see any of the trainers to be battled, which was good because I didn't want to waste time with any of that anyway. The rocket grunts were annoying enough. And I really don't think they should have tasks like the 'send a friend a gift with a sticker' one so late in the Celebi quest line. I nearly missed out on the special move because none of my friends opened gifts for the majority of the day. Also I feel like the starter we picked should have been another guaranteed shiny because all of the starters have already had com days and so did Gyarados. There wasn't anything as good as last year's Ditto and eventual Mew. I still had fun, but I felt like Kanto Tour was a lot better value for money.

I like that there were things to do all the time. I was able to get the collection challenge done the hour the specific pokemon were out, so by the time they repeated, I was able to relax and catch pokemon. Hello Nick! I´m a trainer from La Paz, Bolivia, South America. I´m back to PoGo since almost 3 years of missed content due to... some life stuff events :v and I´m playing around a month or so ago. I used to watch every single one of your videos, they inspired me to keep playing, also your vibes and knowledge about the game are pretty useful. Now that I´m back be sure that I´ll be watching your videos again hey. Speaking about the Johto Tour, I had a really fun and exiting time playing it, even tho there were not that much people playing it because it´s Carnival holiday here and it´s a tradition to get soaked in the streets lol. So yeah, I have played pretty much solo. Communities dissolved to the nearest point of extinction, sadly (well... maybe i haven´t played the game enough) I found only 6 people playing the game, two of the were heading back home and the rest had no raid passes left. I think the event would have been better if it was split into 2 days of 7 hours each, I have not completed some research tasks because there were too much to do and it was a bit overwhelming (missed raids and had 6 passes left unused, collection was impossible to me because i have not spotted Johto tour pass players to trade with, i have not found Spinarak so evolution challenge got stuck, found only 5 shiny Pokemon). I have played around 7+ hours and walked around 20+k, charged my phone once. On the other hand having wild legendary Pokemon was the best part, shiny possibilities, raids every corner, I missed this game. Even with all these "issues" I´ve experienced I had a lot of fun and i loved getting into an event like this one after all that time. I'm sure there's room for improvement and I'm curious on how this can turn. 2895 8595 6409 btw ;)

My highlight was a wild shiny Entei. I took the photo & mentally prepared for it to flee, but it seemed that wild shiny legendaries follow similar rules to shiny raid legendaries. Took me six tries to catch that sucker, but I got him. Plus it was the one shiny of the three beasts I didn't have.

I liked that the legendary Pokemon where in the while. I was able to get my first Raikou. So I hope to see this again. I also wished that it was a two day event instead of just one day

My highlight of the day was catching a wild shiny Raikou on a bridge while watching the sunset✨ I got covid just a few days before, so I couldn't play with my gang, but luckily I was feeling well so I just played solo and walked around my neighbourhood. Managed to get everything done so when I was able to take it more slowly it was heavenly. I haven't had much time recently to just go out and walk around for hours playing PoGo so this was very refreshing and fun😄

I didn't buy a ticket but had a great time--Played from home because I'm autoimmune and there were great remote raids. (Tip: Set your online status to show you're online if you want raid invites! I got a ton of invites that way.) So much to keep up it was almost overwhelming without even purchasing a ticket, so was glad I didn't purchase one. Edited to add: I would've liked for this to be a 2-day event, because I needed more time to catch and grab candy to do some of the evolutions.

Agreed. There was a lot going on even though it was a blast. I think they should separate all of the battling features from the tours into their own stand-alone events. Could be fun.

Me and the wife enjoyed it and generally had each hour collection done within 30 of the first round, maybe an exception for her on one or two. Hung out and roamed with friends, some whom I hadn't seen in a long time too. The only stressful bit were the kids and helping them find trainers as they overlooked the special research and trainer research, otherwise we all got through everything by the 5pm mark. While there is a lot, most challenges would complete themselves if you catch everything anyway. Espeon was the only real catch out for most of our locals, due to becoming impossible after sunset. Overall, an enjoyable day out, even with the rain.

I do think though that those specific trainers would have been better served as engagement tasks, like the leader was. Tap the button and battle instead of finding the right stop. Didn't mind the battles, just finding them was a pain.

List of "rares" I got this day(shinies) Giraf, hitmontop, tyrogue, mantine and a whole lot more. I'm happy, but that 12 hour grind was rough 🤣 a bit more than 1300 pokemon caught

I had fun but it would have been so much better if it had taken place over 2 days, there was just too much to cram into one day. I played for the whole time but only got 5 shinies, one of those being shiny wild Suicune as the event started. It was good but I didn’t finish everything, which I’m not fussed about, it felt messy trying to find which tasks I still needed to do and I still have the special research to finish. Thank you for the video Nick! Your trip looked amazing.

I caught 15 (not including the gyrodos) over the 12 hours, only 2 were new to be but another 2 helped me complete sets of shiny evolutions. It, however, took about 3 hour in before I got my first shiny. I had fun with it, but wish it had been over two days like the Kanto event last year, I also wish it was in spring or autumn as here it was winter so cold weather. In the 30s but still that's a bit harsh for a 12 hour event even if you have proper gear on.

Hey Nick! Great video as always! I played the whole 12 hours and was missing a suicune snapshot. I was so sad. The event was overwhelming. Like don't forget to do photo bombs for Smeargle! Still enjoyed the event but wished it had been setup differently.
