It’s more balanced if you turn down the help one level but allow yourself to touch multiple pieces imho.

If you play rapid games online and have this board you can set stockfish to check for blunders but not tell you the best move and get away with cheating probably, and there is most likely better ways to cheat anyway.

I'm sure their cheating algorithm checks for people who never blunder. That would stick out like a sore thumb.

It only allows help at level 0 and 1 (highlighting legal moves) if you play online.

27:15 I wonder why the board doesn't think Rxe5 is a good move. It's the top move by far if I analyze on lichess (Stockfish 14+).

Hey there We're working on launching an automated chess robot and we'd love to get your input to make it the best it can be! We're particularly interested in hearing from potential users like you about what features you'd like to see and what you think would be a fair price. Just to give you some context, we're a team within a leading AI company in Asia, focused on developing chess robots. We've already introduced two successful board game products that combine top-notch AI technology with robotic arms. They've been a hit in China for the past 2 years, finding their way into tens of thousands of households. Reply if you are up for a chat about it!

this board won't help chess leaner

I think it's a good idea, especially if you have IRL friends of differing skill levels. You customize it a bit and at a low setting it will help you but you still gotta find moves yourself. I don't have a lot of irl friend chess players so... Not really for me.

I disagree. I have played with the app some (same functionality as the board) and the approach I take as an absolute newb is I figure out what my move would be and then touch that piece. It teaches me how and why what I thought was good is actually bad. I can keep playing without getting trounced by the AI over and over and it helps me to pick up certain patterns that apply to all games. Maybe it's not good for other levels, but it has absolutely helped me (I knew how the pieces moved, but have not played chess since I was 9 or 10 and know nothing about strategy or theory).
