alg 3 is technically 15 moves because there is a U' D which can be done at the same time so it only takes the time of one move to do 2 moves

Out of all the ones you've gone over, I preferred the R U2 variant. It flowed the best for me when learning it on the original upload. I've gotten that one down about as fast as any of my other vperms. And.. surprisingly is my favorite to execute.

Okay. This is really interesting. I think i found an even better execution. Instead of the first regrip do the U with left hand index push (or with right hand index pinch move, but feels less natural to me) . And the D moves the same with ring finger push. Then the regrip feels really natural while left hand is doing U' and D at the same time!

Man, I've been using that first alg since the beginning and it's awkward as hell with that y rotation and really just as bad if you do a d' instead. After like, 2 years, I finally decided to search for something better. Sure enough, there's our old pal J-perm with something fantastic 😎 Thanks, bro! what if instead of doing the U' y in the normal alg, you instead do a wide d'? I learned this from watching Jayden McNeil, and it's worked very well for me ever since. This makes the alg have the same number of regrips, 1 more wide move, and 2 less moves than your new one. It seems like an even trade-off that comes down to personal preference.

I use alg 2 but I don't do neither the "drag fingertrick" nor the regrip for the U turn, what i do is, when I do the first U' I do it with my left index finger, and leave it contracted by the side of the cube, so when the U move comes ( the regrip/drag one), I just use my left index that is already by the side of the cube to make the U turn while putting it at the back of the cube where it normally rest ready to make the next move and simultaneously do a D', so to me it neither weirder nor slower to me, and I quite like it really.

regarding the pinky R fingertrick, i've found it works better as a finishing move for algorithms rather than something you incorperate into the middle or beginning of an algorithm for example, doing pinky R at the end of R' F R U R' U' F' U R or R' U' R' F R F' U R it's similar to how I fingertrick the final r in R' U L' U2 R U' R' U2 R r where the last turn is a ring finger OH turn :)

Might be crazy, but I've been trying this fingertrick: R' U R' U' R D' R' D R3 (U D') R2' U' R2 D R2. The R3 can be done really fast by doing an R2 normally and kinda flicking it forward a third turn (kinda like the way R2 from home grip is done in the RUD G-perms). The (U D') is then done with LH pushes. Fun, fast, consistent. Feels like a fast squan alg! Actually, taking inspo from the R3 U-perms, I've been looking for ways to stick R3 into any alg where I regrip from rh thumb on bottom going into an R'.

@AnimationGuy112 and @GeetikaGarg Nice but these algs are highly inefficient. cuz there are major regrips like switching from a @GeetikaGarg 's alg has a roux style grip to cfop style is time consuming. and @AnimationGuy112 's grip switch from L to R.. The standard V-perm I use, instead of doing a rotation I a do Dw (double layered d turn) to offset the y rotation and the U’ move before it. Idk if this is how anyone else does it but I find it very consistent once u get used to it.

I have always done: R’ U R’ d’ R’ F’ R2 U’ R’ U R’ F R F. I don’t really see it mentioned, but I think it is just the standard algorithm, but when I was learning I didn’t know which rotation is which, so I just kind of intuitively figured out the rotation less way. I am not super fast though, so idk how this compares to the other V perms, or how quickly it could be done, and it could be bad lol. (Note this is done with the the messed up blocks on the right and back faces)
