I feel like Marcq's biggest weakness is not trying to start building up workers and bases again when an attack doesn't finish his opponent. Legit has so much present of mind but at some point just focuses tunnels too hard on the cheese and the micro. Also literally the only flaw I have seen in dozens of hours of videos so far, but that's probably the one thing he could actively work on.

I agree, I feel like the game he lost with Gerald could have switched into a full macro game or something similar if he had cut his looses early

@@cuddlecakes7153 I think that's unlikely. The build was so all-in, to the point where his base wasn't even saturated. In those cases, the momentum is with the player who successfully defended.

I am plat level player, recently came back to sc2(played on wings of liberty) and I got so mad that I wanted to quit, because out of 20 games I played the day. 19 of them were short cheese games where my oponents just cheesed me, as a proper Zerg I adapted but it is not fun to cheese every game and play cheese vs cheese all day long. Does it become better at higher skill level? is it a plat thing ? Anyone know the solution ? is there a Zerg build where it forces macro game ? I am the type of player that likes to play a full long match where you have skirmishes and fights but also economy is important and not just build every game some kind of roach rush or muta rush or any of this. I got back to back cheesed against any race it drives me insane so I am here watching Zerg cheeses just to play the game so I can cheese too. But its not fun for me. PLEASE HELP!

great bid but you need to be shredding the protosses wall early and take out the cyber core when he has a few stalkers only to prevent him making more and open the wall. also gotta take advantage of the split second mistakes where he moves the units out of the gate. and you swarm in and surround instantly and block gate

The close game with ravengers you should have just killed his cyber core and pylons. Pylons first, then cyber core so he cant fight you. Home base make workers, proxy base make a queen and only use for army after you kill the pylons. Even if he gets a tiny breather, you would still have more stuff than him. The worst thing you can do is trade units into a 4gate.

@uThermal @GOSU_Reaper. Now what i don't understand in a lot of cheese builds is why you don't try to incorporate things like sliding 1-2 drones in, here and there while your doing the cheese for example. If during that push you made ravagers/zerglings every time you made a set of units or every other set why not make just 1 drone or 2. When you go back in the replay at 20:50 ish you even see you had a ton of minerals and a few larva, if they had been drones in a few different instances you wouldn't be 11 probes to 13 drones, it would be more along the lines of 11 to 16/17. because you were not making drones but a few slipped out. Also building a queen is essentially building a barracks as terran, how do you not for injects.

In the first game against Gerald, I'm not sure why you didn't just try to destroy the 3 front buildings from the start. It's always ~450 minerals down the drain and 2 less gateways your opponent can produce from. Use ravager biles just to keep your opponent's units from engaging while you destroy the buildings, only then move on to pylons. Have the choke work against your opponent, not against you.

A single oracle will take out a bunch of lings+ravagers quickly. And more would soon be on the way; faster than he could tech switch to hydras/mutas or build enough queens to matter. Thermi also was on a single base, not fully saturated. Yes, he probably could have dragged it out for 5 more minutes, at a severe disadvantage on econ and tech, only to lose on macro. In that case, if you can get that read soon enough, better to save your wrists and your morale and just move on to the next game.
