Agree! I have bangs for almost 10 years (plays with different styles) and this is the type of bangs that looks good when styled but will be all over the place the next day. With her straight hair, it will definitely cover her eyes if you don't give it volume. She has small face and forehead, I think korean bangs or Audrey Hepburn(short) bangs will be the best choice for her. It is also both low maintenance for someone that is new to having bangs.

My mom is exactly the same as hers, I’m only “allowed” to get trims. I cut a few inches off my hair in August and the only reason I could do it was because I set up it without her knowing beforehand. Nobody in my family wants me to ever dye it, and my cousin dyed her hair a few times and everyone else talks badly about her doing it. My mom was actually there during the actual haircut process for me, but she didn’t let me get as short as I wanted it and the hairdresser was very young and I think intimidated by her. My mom said if I wanted it shorter I could do it in December and I brought it up last week and I was totally shut down :(

This! Not to mention in 2 weeks they’ll be unbearable. It looks like they are exactly the "shaggy dog look" she didn't want. lol I speak from experience, I love bangs, then grow out, then cut again. So many times I've left a hairdresser thinking, "I feel so good", 3 hours later I'm trimming them shorter myself because I'm losing my mind. I've become an expert bang cutter though. 🥴

Yes I did the same with my hair. Donated almost 30 centimetres of it n I’ve never been so proud of it. My sister did the same n together. I’ve kept my hair short ever since that. I love my short hair it makes me feel happy. It’s like the wait to grow my hair out just to donate it was worth it.
