Torterra is my favorite because it saves Ash in the anime. It has a tree growing from its back. Niantic did it dirty with its poor fast moves and CP limit.

I landed my TM lotto with mew on shadow claw, flame charge and psyshock and found it's really fun to run early in season on the lead. Sometimes i use it as a safe swap. Like you said, psyshock is a decent move in neutral situations. Even though psychic isn't the best typing (sans poli and the few poisons) & shock's not overly hard hitting, it charges fairly quickly, gets STAB, and yes you can potentially grab shields against things weak to the expected moves surf/WC. Flame Charge takes a bit to get to but it provides coverage, hits decent and bumps up your claw damage. In general Mew suffers from being very squishy; in pretty much any situation you'll have to invest shields in order to even reach two of it's lower cost energy moves and good luck reaching a nuke move (wild charge aside). Jynx is my fav because- Jynx is a Jynx lol- needs an evolution.

I've been running and enjoying Psyshock myself, and it's under the radar move that no one is expecting. It hits Clod, Poliwrath, and Toxapex as well.

I love those pokemon which are more or less realistic. I think Dubwool is very cool and Barboach is so cute. Talonflame is a very nice bird of prey, it looks good even when it faints, like a bird being shot. BOOM! And the cutest of all, Liepard.
