2 things I would recommend. 1, Santa is like iron golems. Passive until provoked, aggressive until they kill you, then back to passive. That, or 30 seconds of aggressive, then passive. 2, Studded boots. Made with leather boots and iron nuggets, and allows you to walk on the slippery snow and ice safely.

Snow golems should spawn in several different types at random, ones that wear buckets, ones that are made of ice, ones that melt in the sun (DOT during day), and so on. Each type throws something different, bucket wearer can throw water balloons, ones made of ice throw icicles, the melting ones can't throw anything, etc.

I think if you wanted to balance the tripping mod, you could make it a 1% or 2% chance to trip when moving or jumping. Also Santa should only spawn when peaceful or neutral mobs are killed. I think he would understand if you killed a zombie in self-defense.

Also make the coal do less damage, and not last forever. That last one especially is probably what caused the most lag in the video. And hell, maybe make santa more like an iron gollum, and deagro after a bit.

16:26 You should add another block that behaves exactly like normal ice but have it have the slipping mechanic and then it can be distributed amongst the ice. If you make some sort of parkour race, you can make one course way harder. 19:05 you gotta make it unlikely or situational to make it not annoy you. Making it unlikely while sprinting over many layers of snow on ice would be a good way to implement this. 19:36 Boat. Superflat.

I'd love to see ice skates crafted from a pair of leather boots and an iron ingot. 1.5x movement speed on ice. Even better if you can use other materials for the blades. Iron = 1.5x speed, gold = 2x speed, diamonds = 3x speed, netherite = 4x speed. Or make it an enchantment on boots that activates on ice like Frost Walker does on water.
