HOLD UP. You said that the chance of you making money was still the same as if you’d just coin flipped 50m but that’s just totally wrong. Coin flipping 50m is a straight 50/50 chance of winning/losing. Betting 1m, then2, then4, then 8, then 16 etc give you an initial 50/50 of losing, but the chances of losing 5 times in a row are 1/2x1/2 etc... so eg 1/32 of losing all your money if you use this strategy, as opposed to 1/2. If you do this on the serves then unless you get unbelievably unlucky then you’re just gonna make endless profit, hence why in a casino you get kicked out for doing it, it’s not cheating, it’s just influencing in your favour to a point deemed unfair, and in a server with effectively just your mates, it’s you kinda being a dick

About that "endless profit". This strategy has a 1/32 chance of failing but it only makes you 1m at a time. Initially, he wanted to coinflip all his money, he'd have to win 50 times to make 50m. It's taking a 1/32 chance 50 times, there's a good chance you'd lose and if you did then you're out all your money. He got down to 16m coinflips like 5 times (maybe 4) and is incredibly lucky he won all of them, that's a 31/32 chance he'd lose all of his money. If he were looking to gain 1 million then it would be a 1/32 chance.

For the other 31/32 he would not always make a profit, if he lost on one of the 16m bets which is just a 1/2 chance in the moment, he'd lose most of everything, I doubt he'd be able to work his balance back up to 50m without losing it all again. All I'm trying to say is that it isn't a perfect system, just trying to defend his honor man. There's a very small chance his bet would go down to 16m or, if he had the money for it, 32m, but it did multiple times. It's 2 am don't make me do math in my head.

Martingale betting is a terrible idea, your expected return is 0. In the long run, without a gigantic bankroll to cover massive amounts of losses, you're going to go bankrupt. The math can be clearer seen here: math.stackexchange.com/questions/83904/on-martingale-betting-system, and that's without the tax. With the tax it's even worse. You might as well just chuck it randomly and hope.

if you bet 16 million you have a 50% chance to win 32 million if you use the martin gale stratergy and bet 1 million as a starting value you will lose 1 in 32 games so if you play 16 games and want to win the same amount of money you have a 50% chance of winning that money (unless you have 64 million)... 11:20 actually, there's a video that explains it very well (blackjack by vsauce). I don't gamble professionally but it's a quick buck and a lotta fun when I'm bored. Odds definitely care about the number of losses in a row, the more you win, the less of a chance of you winning again. The chances of you winning ARE 50%, then they get reduced by another 50% AND by the chance of getting 2/2 when 50% is applied. 1-.5 is .5 which is 50% so that's 50%*50% - 25%*50% - X%*X (X is the number of wins you already got, this applies to the percentage ONLY after one win, and don't give 100% accurate results but instead pretty accurate results that could be wrong for a tiny bit as the actual thing would be Y,YYYY and that's a bit much

In this game, because there are so many people you can play against, most of the times being different people, "chance of reoccuring" isn't a thing since it's different for everyone. Why not just multiply by 2.5 or 3. Risky - but you win more the longer it takes. You could also just work around the tax with the equasion: y=1.05*2^x so it goes 1, 2.1, 4.2, 8.4.
