I’m really enjoying this unit. I also didn’t realize how much I’d like the stand! The plus basket is a definite must for me. Great review, as usual. 🙌

Agreed! I didn’t have the stand until now and it just feels like I can’t do without it anymore 😅 Thanks for your support watching my content, really really appreciate it! 🙏🏼

Hey Liz, great review! I have my Outin since May and I'm gonna hit 30kg of beans next month. I preheat it, i preheat the black metal ring and I don't use the first two seconds of the pull to compensate the cold basket. Still have the best espresso in town =) But ONLY under these conditions. Otherwise it pretty much suck.

interesting device, would you say it produces coffee quality closer to that of, say an aeropress, sans the ability to heat the water?
@lizhappybeans27 күн бұрын
Not exactly! The results are quite different! For example, with the Aeropress, you apply a lot less pressure than with Outin, so the coffee's body is entirely different. To give you a better idea, think of Outin's coffee as a slightly thinned out espresso. The Aeropress also uses paper filtration so it's a pretty clean cup, and you can immerse the coffee for longer for different extraction results. Also, right off the bat, the dose is pretty different. With Outin you'll get 50-70ml (of course, you can always dilute with water after), but with Aeropress you can just brew the larger dose right away. This is why I compare the results more to a moka pot brew. Robust, dense. A bit of sediment. More pressure than other methods, but not exactly what we define as espresso traditionally due to the thinner body. Hope this helps!

If someone was expecting actual espresso from a portable machine, they're being delusional! But seems like this can be a good on-the-go companion and will actually last. Nice.

Hold on, you can get an actual espresso with portable brewers - wacaco picopresso for one but I believe there are a few more that can do it. Try the pico if you ever get the chance, I for one use it and can say that it takes more time but makes amazing shots (granted that it does take getting used to it to get best results) I will so far agree that habing a device that can both heat up water to the needed temperature and then produce a proper espresso seems super tricky and I have not yet seen it happen 😅

OutIn is a beast! You just have to preheat all parts of the machine and the brewing basket just like any other espresso machine. I have a 12l 380volt Italian espresso machine and when it's not hot, it makes awful espresso

Ascaso or gaggia ?
@lizhappybeans27 күн бұрын
Ascaso is my main espresso machine at this time and I'm really enjoying the ride! ☺☕ Gaggia is my first love, my little fussy machine that I'll never get rid of - it was everything I needed when I got started and I still speak highly of it for anyone building their first espresso setup and hoping to grow and learn (as opposed to just pushing pre-set buttons).
