The drumming is sensitive....The piano is subtle and accentual. Bass is spot on. The Guitar is lyrical. It's difficult to really make a guitar "sing". I like how this is a solid arrangement without being too off the spirit of the piece. I think it helps that Jocelyn also sings, which I bet helps. When you get how something sounds, you can apply it better with your own main instrument. I found it helpful as a teenager to listen to the singer to get those small nuances that I could apply to guitar. Making a simple line sound more lyrical. 😌

I only recently discovered Ms. Gould after her appearance on That Pedal Show. What an incredible talent and enthusiastic person! This arrangement is very compelling. Great musicians and the use of a very small bass drum fits the mix really nicely. I am learning to implement her guitar hold with the arch top and am amazed at how much richer mine sounds when played this way. Now only if I had the skill to maximize that.
