Nel mio viaggio fra le meraviglie del Basso Salento, tra Ugento, Gallipoli e Leuca, vado a far visita all’azienda agricola I Contadini dove si coltivano, si raccolgono e si conservano ortaggi con un metodo di lavorazione completamente artigianale e a basso impatto ambientale.
Le ricette della tradizione contadina rivivono fra le mani laboriose di una squadra di signore appassionate che ogni giorno trasformano gli ortaggi della terra di Ugento in gustose conserve che racchiudono il sapore del Salento più autentico.

During my journey through the wonders of lower Salento, I visited the “I Contadini” farm where the Trentin family grows, harvests and preserves vegetables using methods that have a low environmental impact.
Traditional rural recipes are brought back to life through the hands of a team of passionate women who, every day, turn vegetables from the soil of Ugento into tasty preserves with the authentic flavour of Salento.
