If the only song you've heard from Periphery is Reptile, I'm surprised you didn't listen to more. That's a legendary song. These two new singles they put out sound like the most Periphery ever, like a combination of everything they've ever done. Not just in sound, there are literally callbacks to one particular album throughout both of these new songs. So if you liked elements of this track, you'll like their older stuff.

Periphery always has and always will be the GOAT in my opinion. They're the band that got me into heavier metal and still my favorite to listen to. One cool thing about this song, they put multiple parts from older songs off of their Juggernaut album into this song. The chorus is literally the song The Event but with lyrics over it. Such an epic song for long time fans. Catching those callback melodies and lyrics brought the biggest smile to my fact. You definitely need to check them out more.

I do like the other single more than this one. It sounds more like the previous two albums which is mostly what I’ve listened to as a relatively new fan. Sentient glow, absolomb, marigold are all top picks. But my “top picks” change daily with them. I have to basically recommend all of them

I've been saying it for years, I love Periphery musically but, Spencer's vocals hold them back. Not that he isn't a good singer but, nothing he sings is interesting or catchy at all. Their first album was great but, that's because most of the lyrics and melodies were written by the other singers that were in the band before him. Nothing has compared since.
