Trade patterns and learning when to fight back is more important than matchups. Even at level 1, DDang didn't just let Lucian jump on Janna and chunk her for no reason. He recognizes that Lucian wasted everything on Janna, so he's free to retaliate and fight back in Janna's favour. Too often do ADCs even in Masters+ not know how to trade. They just stand there and look at their Supports getting pelted and wonder why they're losing lane.

they are still viable but in harder matchups (like lucian) it could be worth it to go fleet footwork now, its worth testing for yourself to see what you like better

@@makisomaek I see , I didn’t specifically mean on sivir, but I’ve seen some people and pros use first strike on varus as well so I was wondering if overall it’s still viable

Lucian thinks sivir backed, so he wants to push to make sure sivir loses cannon wave. I guess he doesnt NEED to, but it will set sivir back a lot.

ppl be like “wah can’t play x adc countered by x adc”- whole time both leave lane with little dmg and kills set up exclusively by the support that they almost auto canceled on and lost to ignite

Is he not just playing on lower ranks? Ik that its new split etc but its dia/emerald border and he is consistently chall no? Im master and if i go to emerald/dia i can win on counter picks too

most of his audience can relate more to the gameplay if it is closer to their rank. not much point in teaching in a challenger lobby because that environment will never be replicated in an average viewer's game. do not think ddang is like zwag. he's not going into low elo for content, he's going to teach.

its not that hard of a counter matchup in the first place.Best thing to do probably try to freeze the wave and zone'ing.If not then just try to keep the lane even. Sivir scales better but at least you would be stronger mid game(probably)

How is sivir countered by Lucian you can literally not interact with him all lane by spam one shotting wave from out of his range and you outscale him and can space him with ult late game

the only counterpicks that matter are one's that can absolutely destroy your ability to have any agency on the game. as an adc there are bo counterpicks because you always have the least agency.
