A core memory of mine as a random bloke from farmers spit QLD is sitting in the passenger seat of that car when it was an Orange thongslapper cruising through the Dandenong range, looking around, soaking in the experience and thinking "yeah, this is it." Keen as to follow what your doing mate.

I didn't want to hit like as that is a horrific experience you went through, but I am glad you are ok and the Torana can be saved. It looks though you've got the right man to do the job and I am looking forward to the rebuild as I am sure it will come back better than it was before with no rust or bird poop welds

That’s a statutory write off. Write off is the cost of repair is more than the vehicle’s worth. Sentimental value supersedes monetary value so this particular LX isn’t a write off to Matt.

Not really, my crash was a cost write off, I could fix myself and get back on the road but a stat write off is non reg ever again

Correct Aaron! Insurance basically deemed it too big a job to repair it back to pre-accident condition in a respectable time frame. So they paid me out as a repairable write-off. So now the repair can be done with extra mods, etc, that are almost easier to do than trying to repair it back to 100% stock. I'll just need to get these new non-standard mods engineered when I'm done to make sure it's all 100% legal.

I live in the Dandenong Ranges also. Here's a simple skill you lack, finish braking on the straights then roll on through the corner, don't be still braking into a corner, that's stupidity. Maybe do an advanced driving course if this isn't common sense to you. Stay out of accidents in future mate!
