As an NC native who deals with downpours 24/7 and flooding, your car tires slipping from the rain is normal and even worse is the possibility of hydroplaning! Hydroplaning happens in as little as an 1/8th of an inch of water. Do not do anything different. That’s my advice! Pretend like it didn’t even happen. If you swerve or freak out, your risk of crashing goes up exponentially!! Grip the steering wheel tightly and continue straight on. Be careful out there queen!
