so an investigation I did into that plane crash: plane took off from the airport we will say 9PM, no report to ATC at that time. at around 9:15, 10 NM from the airport, the black box or cockpit voice recorder (if it has one) recorded a loss of engine RPM and a notation from the pilot about the plane losing power and at this time, the CVR also noted a significant loss in altitude after the ascent to 3500ft AGL where the engine failed. Had the pilot followed their training (Aviate, Navigate, Communicate) the pilot wouldve attempted to restart the plane. had that failed, they could glide 1 1/2 miles for every 1,000 Ft of altitude, PLENTY of time to get the aircraft turned back around as the flight surfaces were working but engine was lost. This crash seems to be a mix of noncommunication with ATC about the issue, inexperience, and possibly an improperly serviced aircraft. no attempt was made to correct the nose down attitude of, according to the instruments and CVR, around 600 FPM of nose down attitude. This is ALL assuming that the plane has a CVR (which I think is required so) This can also be summed up to the fact that the "pilot" stated they did NOT have a license for flying the aircraft so that mixed with night flying where pilots usually rely on instruments and a few visual cues to figure things out attributed to this crash. the CVR also noted that the autopilot was set to 0 feet when it was turned on, attributing to the crash.
