For those wondering about the Mastodon Bones found, heres an excerpt from an article: "The Michigan skeleton was discovered by Kent County drain commission workers digging about 30 miles north of Grand Rapids. Museum CEO Dale Robertson called the discovery “amazing.” “It's probably an understatement,” he said during a news conference Thursday before officials toured the new exhibit." - May 19, 2023 "The crew was replacing a culvert along 22 Mile Road near Kent City when they came across a 3-foot femur. Researchers at the University of Michigan later confirmed that the remains belonged to a mastodon. Grand Rapids (well, Allendale which is like 10-15 miles away) does have one of the best D2 football programs in the country with 4 national titles and a win percentage of over .700. That being said, still hyped for this! Also, I know that they're farther away, but EMU might make for a better rival. The CMU-WMU rivalry is one of the strongest in the MAC, maybe second only to the Toledo-Bowling Green rivalry. GRU would therefore always be WMU's second rival (kind of like how MSU is Michigan's second rival).

I like the idea so far, maybe split the season into 3 or 4 games an episode so we really get a chance to connect with the players if this is gonna be a long time thing, cause having 4 episodes with the big guys vs. 12-16 makes a big difference

Fun fact there use to be a junior college football team in grand rapids that ended in 2012. They went undefeated that season and wasn’t invited to the junior college national championship. The head coach of that team (Tony Aneese) is now the head coach of the #1 ranked D2 football school in the nation Ferris State bulldog and won back to back D2 championships 2021 and 2022.
