Not a fan of Chinese food either, but I do have a few go-tos. Usually choose beef dumplings, sesame chicken, general tso's chicken, vegetable lo mein or egg drop soup. If you're ok with crab, crab rangoon is a good crunchy side. Basically just crab and cream cheese in a fried wonton.

I would recommend u Peking duck Spring rolls Sweet and sour pork (should be called hong shao rou) fried pork/chicken (guo bao rou) Dim sum (is like dumplings) Nian gao (is like italians gnocchi but made of rice) Those r my fav chinese food, hope it helped u in time and happy birthday for ur grandma 🎈🥳🎂!!!!

When it comes to chinese food the safest bet is usually to just take some sort of curry with rice and meat you like, so like duck or whatever, it usually tastes really well
