Not sure if Mike sees these, but one trick/tip you can do on Nocturne especially as a laner, getting Blue ward (Scrying Orb I think) so when Jhin/Smolder/Backline start to fall out of vision you can Blue ward + Ult to dive the back line/finish an enemy

Mike can you (or anyone really) give a brief explanation of what you mean by "front to back fight"? I get that the team was playing poorly but I don't understand mechanically what they should be doing better.

Front to Back, just a simple fight. There was no need to do any weird pincer atks or wtv those 2 were doing. Just stand in front of the feed adc and win. Kill the frontline first and then the rest. If the backline doesn't get close, their tanks die and then they die. If they do get close, he can easily disrupt them (or Poppy can) and kill them. Noc doesn't really have to use his R to go through half the map. The team-wide blind is insanely annoying. The backline/frontline have to be kinda close or they won't know what's happening to the rest. Edit: And, in general what they should be doing better is moving faster and Poppy not leaving the Cait so alone against ppl that can rush her down, like Lee and Rell, when she can easily stop them with her W. You can see that even better on the second game. They take F years to go to the objective, if they even went at all like the LB.

I'll add some of the other ways to fight for extra context: Dive: Focus on backline first, the opposite of front to back. Strong vs comps with 1 hypercarry, or if your damage isn't strong enough to kill tanks. This comp wants to be at objectives second, to make it easier to dive vulnerable targets since they get trapped in the pit. Pick: Find or isolate a target away from the team, then re-engage with a numbers advantage. Good when the enemy team comp is better at 5v5 than yours. Good 5v5 comps are usually dependent on every piece of the comp pulling their weight, killing one member, even a support, can cause the comp to fail. This comp wants to be at objectives first, setting up vision to secure their pick. Poke: Long range abilities to wear down enemies before clean up. Deceptively hard to play, especially late, when enemy team is strong enough to weather a rotation or two and just run at you. This kind of comp wants to be at objectives second, so they can launch spells while the other team is stuck in the pit. Skirmish/Split Push: smaller 2-3 man fights. These happen a lot earlier in the game, but late game these happen when a team has one or two split pushers, so you create pressure on objectives without committing, taking attention away from your macro game. This comp doesn't really care if they're first or second to objectives, since unless the enemy misplays they're trading objectives for map pressure. There are many ways to play this game, which is why it's been running for 15 years with only one primary map.

Manamune or Essence Reaver is pretty standard on Nocturne if you’re going to spam abilities, my dude. Could also do Gauntlet to slow them down on that first hit while you auto them down. He’s got a few different builds and play styles to run.

Finally, you're games went pretty nice so far, with decent teammates. This game represents the exact experience I have, every single game!!! It is so frustrating that people have ZERO clue about what to do when. You will be tilting much much since Emerald is the worst...

Man, I can feel ya in that tilt...on my placements I ended like Emerald 2. I had a Yi that tried to counter-jg without prio the entire * game saying he was the best and to shut up and let him carry instead of actually thinking and playing. Obviously ended like 2/15. Next game, I was playing with him AGAIN, and again 10+ deaths, same with the rest of the team. Then, the 4th another jgler that thought he was the center of the world and in the 5th, the same jg from the 4th one, but as ADC. I only won the 1st game, obviously lost all those 4 other games. I was so * tilted. Some ppl just don't wanna win.

Not trying to flame or anything, I'm actually curious. Is there a reason he didn't build malignance on Kogmaw? I think it would have been decent in teamfights and especially against Velkoz who is rooted while ulting. I know the ult cd is wasted though, so maybe not worth the gold?

dude man I felt the frustration watching the game. it's people like leblanc that ruin a perfectly free win with their absolute shit mentality and then question why they're hardstuck somewhere. like legit just play the game like a normal human being and you win for free but she lost it like 10 minutes into the game with her poor mentality. idk just seeing her rage split push was like, yeah I can tell she's just out of the game at that point. sucks because she was strong too.
