The Lost Island Series is a Syntac Adventure on ARKs latest Map. In this series Syntac will tame, breed and mutate all of the new beasts that roam this ARK, the Amargasaurus, the Dinopithecus and the Sinomacrops with the hopes of facing the Dinopithecus King Boss and his minions!

Yeah, and it kinda highlights how ark is one of those games where despite having quite a few bugs, they don't directly inhibit the game and can actually be pretty funny at times!

It's actually common on console (well, on Xbox at least). When flying through the desert, you'll often see an existing deathworm "pop" as it renders. I think the engine briefly shows the creature in its "t-pose" or "neutral" model before rendering it in its actual position. I use it to find deathworms easily, since I don't have to wander around on the dunes waiting for one to jump me.

I remember playing scorched earth first time and flyer movement speed was still a thing and you need atleast a certain movement speed to outrun wyverns for egg hunting

Have you found the Twisting/Twisted Vine area yet? It's near Saber Lagoon where the river waterfall enters the ground. There's a ton of spiders down there, though I haven't really explored it. Look on the desert coast line for silk. Also, when they spawn in, creatures fall from the sky. It helps prevent them from clipping into terrain and such.

Just FYI for Amargasaurus taming, only aggressive carnivorous creatures count toward taming, so mammoths won't do you any good. I'm probably going to go to the desert when I try to tame one.

I love Sinomacrops but the way you tame amargasaurus i just freaking love it so much! Even if its really hard in the snow with the wolves and the taming only go up with creature amargasaurus normaly would attack so mammoth doesnt work

I was a bit peculiar about the Sino idea, but once I learned it was a glider, I got excited. And I was most excited about the Dinopithecus because of the E.B.M, but now my favorite is by far the Sino. My adorable little Portable High Ground is very many much amazing

If you kill or tame stuff around your thorny, you made sure of other things spawning in. Especially when you run far away from your tame. Let it be the mammoth or your thorny. Pretty sure you know that ^^

Amargasaurus needs hostile creatures to kill so mammoths wouldn't work sadly. But deserts and snow both have a fair bit of hostile creatures so dunno which would work best ngl. Snow has manas so desert could be less of a pain probs lmaoo

When gliding and the sino auto-dives, hold Lft shift and it allows you to steer while gliding and you can pull out of the dive. Also if you are flying forward when you go to glide, you have a better chance to NOT dive.

Hey Syntac I wanted to share a random thing I found out regarding the Sinomacrops. I hopped into the water and was wondering if they would fall off because most creatures with wings kick you off the mount when they get in deep enough water, however they stay on your shoulder even when completely submerged. Not only do they stay on your shoulder, their wings actually propel you through the water. There’s a cool animation with a bunch of bubbles as their wings propel you forward, and you swim faster because of it. I don’t think it’s quite genesis 1 speed, but it’s a cool feature. These little guys really are a fun game changing creature with lots of little quirks.

In case syntac doesn’t know, tapping causes synomacrops to sort of hang life without momentum where as tapping c the holding shift puts the synomacrops into momentum gliding where it can move up and down to gain or lose speed, so the reason he is suddenly dropping when tapping c is that he is likely holding shift.

And on another note double tapping space causes you to double jump or just jump in the air. You can do it as many times as you want or even to get out of water, but it uses a lot or the sino’s stamina.

Actually Syntac you need to kill naturally hostile creatures or predators when taming the Amargasaurus and you need sweet veggie cakes so that you can heal them a bit but when you’re attacking creatures with it try not to accidentally damage them because then the Amargasaurus will take it as a sign of betrayal

Funfact: Smaller creatures don’t naturally aggro on the Dinopethicus. Creatures like Raptors, Carnos Arthros, direwolfs and sabers

Just a thought but given this has happened twice with tames, I may have an idea. This idea relates to your monkey mount as given its detection box for climbing is buggy it may also cause the spawning distance to be buggy given how it leaps around everywhere, I could be wrong but maybe next tame go without it and see if it happens again.

To fix the issue with looking at the back of your monkeys head with the soy glass, just turn to the side while mounted and look that way. No head, no hair, just wide open area to look.

So, the way the amargasaurus work is after you eat the insulated soup and feed them, theyll follow you, but theyll ONLY attack other aggressive creatures, such as dire wolves, megathirums, yutys, so on so forth. One a percentage of damage is done to said creature(s), theyll ask to be fed again. Two tips tho, they do NOT like being hurt by you, and they do NOT like you attacking other amargasaurus

Make a single Sonom in your army with high weight stats and disable harvesting on the rest. You will always find all the loot you need on that one Sinom.

There's been a Mandela effect for me at least, where I could have sworn! The first time I played scorched I saw pteranodons. It's like such a vivid memory, I had no mods of anything but it's just so weird to think that they aren't on scorched, I even went to the wiki and it said pteranodons aren't on the map and it just blew my mind

Fun fact Syntac, if you’re high enough in the air with a Sinomacrops that’s running out of stamina, you can go into parachute mode and they will regain stamina after about 3-4 seconds

Sinomacrops verses Deathworms is pretty epic fight. Mostly you need to survive while the Sinos eat the worm. It is something you have to see to believe.

The reason sinomacrops is really hated is that from design,people thought they're just gonna be archa reskins and not have any actual uniqueness cus at that time people have just given up on thinking that wildcard will be able to make shoulder pets unique without stopping them from being shoulder pets (looking at you ferox and noglin).

If you can freely pick up structures, i can recommend building behemoth gates around the creature ( like a wyvern trap, but with no spaces). stone once should suffice normally, at least they do for me. And you can also use this for " mobile taming traps" on anything bigger than you, like a wyvern trap.

Personally, (before the mammoth tlc) I always preferred Thorny Dragons to beavers and mammoths. Biggest reason was with the Thornies my weight didn’t fill up with berries way before they topped out with wood. Which was always aggravating to me. 😬

Syntac only carnivore creature counts when taming amargosaurus and the bigger the carnivore is the better percentage you will get
