I'm talking about the big bad guy lol: -Misty Terrain to block priority moves -Set up climate, the best option depending on opposition team -At least one type immunity (but I'd love to see a Ghost/Ground mon) -more than one support dude. Helping hand, Taunt, wide guard, pollen puff, rage powder, follow me...are necessary moves. -Have more than one ability and more than one item -recover attacks (drain punch, horn leech, draining kiss) -Able to choose if a move becomes single or multiple target -more than four moves for more coverage, also add Protean for shenanigans

Spiky shield kinda works since it takes about 10 turns to kill the fusion so it basically makes it 20 (a bit more if you double protect a lil bit and get lucky) so could have won

I think a good rule to add is any mon used against a previous boss cannot be used against future ones. That forces them to be tactical about who they take. They have to weigh up the potential enemy they'll be going against vs who they will go against in the future and not waste valuable pokemon.

I think in the last battle it was an obvious move for Dylan to click recover. There were two physical attackers on the battlefield, he still had magic bounce active, he had +2 Defense from prior Diamond Storm, AND if he was worried about Wide Guard, that would mean one of them definitely didn't attack, so no way he'd die. And IF it was wide guard(which it wasn't) Dylan could go Dyna. I understand that Dylan was under pressure and that hindsight is 20/20, but I think the second round was unwinnable for team New had Dylan weighed his options more calmly.

I'm predicting for gen 3 it'll be wonder guard (obviously), but instead of the usual ghost/dark I'm guessing it'll either be bug/steel or poison/dark (since both have an inherent toxic immunity). Bug/steel has the better resistance spread, but poison/dark has more targeted resistances/immunities, a 2x (mostly) physical weakness, and the ability to be hilarious (air balloon).
