And that my friends, is how you should direct an anime. As a light novel reader, I am more than thankful to the staff that cherished and respected this series, I would be very disappointed if they don't announce more seasons after this.

@Jimmy Plays why do you think that? Most people think its highly likely since the success of the Anime itself, the LN and merch sales, and the fact that A1 seem to be as passionate about the series as they are for SAO

And like most of us, I also bawled ever since Lena showed up on screen and that was more impactful to me since I already knew what was gonna happen. And also also, the author of 86, Asato also cried watching this ep, it just goes to show how powerful this ep was. God I love this show.

One of the best directed episodes of anime.

I believe it was so well directed that even the LN readers said that this part of the anime was done even better than what the LN did, and that says something... this long wait was worth it and it showed that the 86 days of us waiting for the last 2 episode would not be in vain I look forward to the last episode of this season of 86 before waiting for season 3

Remember, this is the debut of the director of 86, dude needs to direct the rest of the anime, if they decide to continue the story.

Something that it's somewhat subtle is the fact that the "cinematic" black bars are there during pretty much all of Shin's trauma and even after he wakes up which I imagine represents the darkness around him, when Lena shows up, there's multiple shots of her walking *on top of/over* the black bars, in kind of 4th wall kind of way. Then they get lighter and transparent as he realizes who she is and they go away fully once he finally allows himself to cry and be glad. Such great work and symbolism.

Such a beautiful and well directed episode. The animation, voicing and music all worked together perfectly. The next episode is gonna be fucking insane and I hope we get the announcement for season 2 because volume 4 really does ascend every aspect of the series.

I think even if we don't we probably will get an announcement sometime this year. I want them to take their time and not have to have delay after delay again too.

Lena is out there because she wanted to check on the unknown processor she just helped after he was blown away. We see her start to turn around at first after she thinks he's dead.

my reaction was same as yours while watching this, like oh damn this eps really make me speechless, waiting for 3 months is really worth for this
@the_keyper7502 жыл бұрын
idk if this is weird to say or not, but I really appreciate reactors like you. I'm surprised I didn't see anyone else cry during this scene, this shit made me cry so hard(nothing wrong if you don't cry, I just think you were the only reactor I saw that genuinely did). Such a phenomenal episode, this is definitely one of my all time favorites.

Thanks for watching. Everything hit so well for me with the scenery, the music, everything. I've never been one to hide my emotions.

Just some detail from novel, when Shin say "Major" in the scene. The language they speak is slightly different. Lena thought it just misunderstanding between language. So, Lena have no idea at that point that this is Shin. And for the recorded conversation, all the top brass in army actually listen to it (IT'S PROTOCOL). In the LN all the top brass keep teasing Shin about this. One of adjucant of those top brass even try to teach Shin how to turn-off the recording. In case it might be next time lol.

Not a different language per se, but she thought the military structure or lingo might be different in the Federacy than the Republic
@TatsuShiba1232 жыл бұрын
It’s not because of different language. Lena thought the rank structure of the Republic and Federacy are different. Plus, she was 100% certain that they were really dead, so no point thinking that Shin’s the one infront of her.

Not in the LN, but it is seriously meaningful when in the subconscious segment, it was Kiriya that pulled Shin‘s trigger and then, before the self destruct executed, waivered Shin’s holding hand to push him away from death since he most probably has sensed who is coming. After all these Nouzen siblings are really absurdly good guys-even in death

Can you please react to 👉the lady of heaven trailer? The movie was shown in AMC Theaters in the US and it had a very long and successful run there. The next move is for it to be shown in Australia in the 28th of April and in Canada the following day. After the theater deals are finished it will have a worldwide release via movie streaming platforms ❤️😃
