Absolutely agree. I think ultimately there is a balance readers must maintain between connecting genuinely on a human level, and remaining grounded to hold space for the client. But I think it’s a beautiful thing when we show emotion to the client as long as we continue to center the client. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely Anna! I can't even begin to tell you while doing a reading for someone that I see little nuances/reminders of what shifts are happening in my life at that time. The tarot is the reflection of the soul, and it can come as a personal reminder through someone's reading. You got to love how the intuitive Self connects in many different ways when doing readings. This may happen a few times throughout a professional reader's career. Something to learn from. Thank you for sharing this, Anna. 🌹🕯✨

Finally got the time to watch it! Loved the molasses description of the 8 of cups :) super evocative. I often see my own situations in my client readings and it takes the extra awareness not to project stuff. I am ok with being emotional during a reading. Not to break down fully- as it's client's time and Im to keep the space for them- but we are all more connected then we think right? Sometimes sharing a moment with a person may be more meaningful for them than all the words in the world. Loved this. Thanx Ana - you always have interesting videos to share. xx

Thank you for sharing your experience, Anna. Not always, and not intentionally every time; I will go into a somewhat altered state. Part of who I am or how I define myself seems to recede. I have had streetlights go out above me while walking my dog and am struck with an ah - ha moment, card meanings change during a reading, emotions come up seemingly out of nowhere, etc.Each experience is a bit different. I have no one answer; but I find it interesting as hell. Sometimes I get the feeling that I was supposed to experience and acknowledge the event. Yep, I know……..sounds a little woo-woo.Maybe it is. Given the stuff that can bubble up in a reading, I think experiencing the full spectrum of human emotion is absolutely part of the tarot process, and I think part of what makes us valuable as tarot readers, we’re creating a space where these feelings are allowed and by expressing them we give our querents permission to experience it too.

I really enjoy your content, and appreciate your thoughts. I am in total agreement with you on the soul as well. We are souls that live for a while in these bodies. I think we’re meant to experience human life in order to grow, and learn and evolve as spiritual beings. Idk, it makes sense to me. 😀

Hey Anna...totally agree with you, we are not our thoughts etc anything that we can observe cant be who we are because its separate and im also not talking about disassociating, we are the one in the background, the observer, with practice we can detach from our thoughts and feelings and watch them its fascinating aye thanks for another interesting video. ❤

It is an interesting exercise to separate the thoughts and feelings from the physical. Astral lady travel? I was thinking about the Fool, the Wheel, and the World, as different levels of awareness. The Fool as understanding the world just from the point of view of the self. Tunnel vision from inside our own heads. The Wheel is seeing how each action changes everything around us (and by extension, everything), like a pebble in a puddle. And finally, the World, in which all of us are constantly creating and growing and spinning, it seems with no plan or goal other than the dance.

That is very interesting for sure! Where in different parts in life are we the Fool, what is more like the World etc? Hell, make it into a Tarot spread and get some answers from the cards! 🙏
