The hash reality is that it’s tough regardless of one’s experience driving from kenya to Nigeria, then being a newbie its 10x as tough , just slow down your pace , drive shorter distances it’s a marathon not a sprint, study your maps its very important and buy a navigation device n mount on your bike it’ll help you with directions. You should get a set of panniers instead of packing your luggage the way you did , you should definitely take the bike to the manufacturer mechanic before you leave kenya

Thanks for sharing your journey and even the most vulnerable parts! Must say the audio had improved alooot 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. If you do need help troubleshooting feel free to email the raw audio formats then can advice cause its sounds like you have reliable brands, could be a matter of setting to cut down your edit times. On the bike, if possible get a new one, and maybe practice a bit more in Kenya long distances and offroad maybe till you can ride with one arm on the handle bar cause you shared about your surgery and we really want to see you finish this!!! I will tend to agree with most people here. First and foremost you need to get that motor cycle fixed. The worst thing is getting a breakdown in a remote area. Your tires are not tubeless and I am not sure if you can fix a puncture if you have to. You also need to be able to light your motorcycle by yourself because believe me there’ll be times when you are entirely by yourself. Lastly is the issue of your navigation. There’s no way you will successfully navigate that entire hour using a phone to navigate. So invest in a proper navigation system. Otherwise I am rooting for you and definitely wish you the best. This video kept me on the edge. Also please slow down and be alert always❤

Hi, Girl, first and foremore know that you are on this trip alone. Avoid overspeeding. Study your map well to avoid misroutes. Repair your bike coz at one point youll not be in a position to stand anymore due to your back pain caused by the bent bike. Reach Kisumu or Eldoret and visit a motorbike dealer to sort out your problem. Stop crying, youre a big Girl and some people are learning from your journey so be of an encouragement. Safe journey

I don't think you know the dangers ahead of you. You are simply not ready for this trip. I personally don't think you'll make it. So I beg you to go back to Nairobi, and take at least three to four months to prepare. You are not ready, your bike is not ready. Fix your bike or get a new bike. You should have at least two phones, two tablets for Navigation, and multiple chargers. Consider subscribing to a satellite phone service. Always study your route ahead of time. Get a physical map of Kenya and countries on your route just in case your phone dies as in this case. I also hope you have gotten or at least know how you are going to go about getting visas for the countries on your route. Also don't forget papers and insurance for the bike may be needed when you start crossing into different countries. I am looking forward to you resuming your trip to Nigeria in a few months. Go in the dry season when there is less rain and roads are dryer and firmer. You should also consider taking a partner to ride with you when that time comes. I understand you want to be brave but you going on this trip at this time is a very foolish idea and I consider it as no more than a suicide mission. Please, please listen to all your fans. They love you and they want to see you win, but victory only favours the prepared. Rooting for you!!!

Kenya has good communication & logistics networks. Beyond Kenya you'll have problems with Google maps, mobile telephony, good roads, available camping sites /hotels, language barriers, fuel availability, hostile tribes e.g South/Sudan.etc...Be warned. It'll not be a walk in the park.

Oh boy. What is this obsession with "Camp Sites" most camp sites are so off the road it's an entire trip in its own to go to them. Best strategy is stay on the main roads get to a regular hotel first then if you want to make a day trip out to camp at least you have a familiar base within the area that you can return to not more that 25 km at most. Get a physical road map as well for when the electronics fail. Goodness who prepared you for the trip? I'm. Very worried at this point.

Ms Ebaide....you need to get side mounted saddle bags to lower the COG of that bike and to distribute evenly the weight. I don't ride bikes but i can tell that the weight distribution on yours is off and causing you a lot of problems with balance and controllability which will only worsen as the roads you travel get worse. Please also find it in your mind to try and relax while riding....remember how you can do that in a car, even take your hands off the wheel while driving that you thought was impossible when learning to drive?? It will help with the bodily pain you are feeling from holding onto the tension too long.

Ebaide, what a ride this was, first congratulations for the far you have come for a new biker big up👏🏻👏🏻I would say keep going it will get harder am sure but there are a few things I would urge you to do, load down, carry the very essentials you need, you would rather add as you go. Get that bike fixed in Kisumu or your next big town stop. Also buy a hard copy updated map, why you may ask?! when your phone goes off you just might have an idea of where you are going, or where you at. Listen to your gut if it says you have made a wrong turn it won’t hurt to stop and confirm and take a breather from time to time. Truth be told you are about to enter very unknown territory and you need as much information as possible, enquire, read your map, google, do whatever you need to do to make it through. Praying for you and wishing you all the best, remember you are your own competition so if it takes your longer to finish this trip no one will judge you.. keep going make as many stops as you need to, stay safe and take your time and enjoy your little achievements every day. God keep you safe🙏🏽❤✌🏽👊🏽👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Calm seas never made a skillful sailor. Keep going. Every segment of your journey plan, plan and plan. research the the terrain before departure to mentally prepare yourself for what's coming. c.mon, dont cry, now this is what we call adventure. There are times you'll encounter challenges while deep in the forest, good example is congo forest. Impassible roads and heavy rains. This are challenges that will harden you.

Sorry for what you're going through. From What I've seen from @Itchy Boots and Other Travellers, Central Western Africa will probably finish you. If this is tough already and Kenya has not too bad roads, Not sure how you going to overcome central and west Africa.

Pls make sure that your bike is in good condition before you cross the border. Get a mechanic to sort the problem. Otherwise that posture is not good for your health.

🏍Have your bike properly fixed in Kisumu. 🏍Carry only essentials. 🏍As a new biker, you need to be light. 🏍Cursing brings very negative vibes. 🏍Relax, wear a smile and enjoy your adventures.💯

It would be better if you found accommodation on the main roads instead of insisting on camping sites which are further out. Also lighten your load and have an expert in Kisumu look at your bike keenly seems the falls u keep having have kinda messed the alignment of the bike. You might consider taking a pause on this journey and have a medic check your back as you still have a very long way to go and you want to be in good shape physically and mentally. All the best we are cheering you on.

Well Young Lady not a good start!!! but it is what it is ! first your bike is top heavy,, oganise your load better,,,2nd on the main road slow down,,, I have been riding over 40 years and do not go so fast in those conditions...3rd Honestly you cannot rely on phone and google maps all the time ,,you need paper maps too......and lastly travelling on a bike you are alone ...you have to deal with problems yourself..phoning a friend is not going to get you out of trouble....lastly lastly,,chill out grab your self a beer ,tomorrows another day....

It is quite evident that Ebaide is not well prepared for an exercise of this magnitude. Her skill level and mental toughness is horrifyingly non-existent. She needed more hours on the saddle before embarking on this trip. Get the bike properly fixed, get a GPS and do not get easily frazzled at the slightest sign that things are not going according to plan. There’s no crying in biking!
