Yes, there is a big difference from 2017 till now. Enjoy the cut. I had to cut mine into a taperred cut because of extreme heat damage. Lol you will enjoy the short hair so much, so much easier and quicker to style.

Girl, you like me. I went natural in August 2014 and my natural hair makes me look younger too. I loc'd my hair because I was getting tired of it. About to cut my hair too. Oh, and I'm 28. Lol

My sentiments. My hormones are changing to the point that relaxers caused me severe hair fall. So I've been natural underneath wigs for 8 years and don't like the care and shrinkage. However, I want a silk press, but the humidity and hot weather will revert it too quickly. I'm stumped and tired.🤷😠🤔🙏

The single strand knots have me with multiple problem spots. Like you said, “it’s inevitable”- whenever my hair is in wash n go form or twist out the STK show their true colors smh. My hair has been breaking like crazy and never truly feels moisturized, no matter what. My hair is sectioned right now for the 2nd big chop since 2011

Yeaaaa I’ve found that deep conditioning for 20-30 mins helps with the STK because it leaves the ends softer for longer before wash day again so that leaves it less tangled

I had the perm in the back and didn’t like it because it was a lot of effort for it to get curly when the rest of my hair curled without any problem. So if you’re done with having two textures then go ahead but trust me it’s difficult
