In case you didn't know, gun brands in this game matter. Jakobs branded weapons, can fire as fast as you click. They only make pistols and shotguns. But they deal high damage. Torgue, which you'll come across later, use 2x the ammo per shot, but fire explosive rounds. Maliwan (I think) specializes in elemental weapons. Tediore have grenade weapons, which, upon reloading, use the entire mag, but throw the weapon like a grenade. That's all I can remember about weapon brands.
