This is why Manchester United can attract Superstars to this day. Players today, grew up watching superstars of earlier generations play here before them, they idolised them, they watched them win everything and they watched them go from great football player to World Star at this club dating all the way back from George Best to more recent examples like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham or Wayne Rooney. It's something no other English club, and only 1 or 2 other European clubs can offer, Real Madrid and maybe Barcelona. Arsenal have never been and will never be on that level, Tottenham or Chelsea. Manchester City and Liverpool can attract these kind of players now because of the success they're having on the pitch in recent years however as soon as they start to drop off and aren't at the very top of the game anymore, that pull will fade. Manchester United will always have that pull. Like them or not, they're a superclub.
