You see, this man’s thinking about building a house in Ghana comes from the fact that he already had a house in Ghana before traveling. Trust me, if he didn’t have a house or land in Ghana prior to traveling he would be doing so now. See the future isn’t promised however it’s wise to build a house in Ghana if you can afford it. End of the day, when you’re old and weary you can retire in the house you built. Until you retire and go back home, you can rent it out and make some money out of it. Today there are companies that can manage your property for you for a small fee. The retirement money you’ll receive in the West wouldn’t be sufficient to live a comfortable life, however in Ghana you can stretch your retirement income received from abroad. Anyways it’s all choices.
@mikelantern148 Жыл бұрын
@@Oyzatt the current retirement age in USA is about 67 years however I don’t want to wait to 67 years to retire. Matter of fact I’m in the process of setting up business in Ghana which would generate income before I even retire so God willing I’ll be living full time in Ghana by 50 years. In Ghana there’s peace of mind when you have decent income. People who can’t afford to live in Ghana would always want to leave the country but with a decent income where your basic needs are met, I trust you’ll be happy and comfortable. There’s too much stress in the West and sometimes gets lonely. The family structure in the West described by the man is also not something I find appealing. I prefer the communal living and networking. In Ghana we have freedom.
@mikelantern148 Жыл бұрын
If foreigners can come to Ghana and create business and wealth in Ghana why can’t locals do it? It’s all about having the money and changing one’s mindset. Look the Lebanese, Chinese, Indians and even more African Americans are setting up businesses and buying lands in Ghana. Your hell is someone’s Heaven. Like I said it’s all about personal choices and opinions. Think long term.

Marriage rites are universal and are as old as civilization. There are many forms and some more expensive than others and for some underlying reason, but a symbolic process nevertheless. It's the token that signals the end of single-hood and the start of a new journey in human relationships. Without it, there's nothing to deter either party from continuing to live the life of the unmarried after a marriage!
@randominterestingvideos4733 Жыл бұрын
The fact that certain cultural practices are old doesn't mean it's wise now. Back then, bride price was demanded from the man because only men were allowed to work and women weren't so paying that bride price was a sign that the man has resources and can comfortably take care of the woman and their kids. But currently both men and women are working so why does it make sense to pay for the bride price? Everyone is working and women can depend on themselves so why does it make sense to still pay bride price now? It makes no sense and the man is right

Humm about building in Ghana, I know that it's very difficult to have a trusted family to take care of things for you, but leaving your properties in a foreign land when you passed away is also not wise. It means we are just helping other countries to develop, but our own Ghana. To me, you don't have to force, but plan and take it step by step to build something or own a piece of land. For me, I live okay here and have properties in Ghana as well, yet I am not sure right now if I will go or not. No one knows tomorrow. For example, what has happened to Ukrainian should be a lesson. Obviously, Ghanaians living in Ukraine will surely go back to their roots, but if you didn't have anything, how are you going to live?

So now with the building in Ghana issue. First of all, you can't say you're focusing on where you are alone. That's why I say the best thing to do is build wealth that can run even in your absence. Build businesses with that, you can build anytime you want wherever you want. You don't need to plan with retire being your deadline
