I went through the same thing with my ex-girlfriend. There was never any physical abuse because im physically a lot stronger than her. But for 4 years she kept psychologically abusing me and breaking down my personality until i completely lost my identity. She was a friend from school whom I had known for well over a decade and all that history just made me so miserable at the thought of breaking up that I never could. She cheated on me and blamed alcohol saying she becomes a different person when she drinks and when that did not fly she said she is a feminist and I wouldn't understand her choices. I was never prioritized for anything, I was always an option and she made sure I always knew that by her actions. I would always apologize even when she was wrong just because i did not want to lose her. In the end when I grew willful and refused to agree with her on everything she broke up with me. Funny thing is despite all the abuse I still missed her for many months after our break up but slowly and surely I came to understand that although I missed our tender moments and the person I fell in love with, I did not miss the person she turned out to be. I was no longer anxious and afraid of what she would do next, and the shit excuse she would give.

Hey...Its always good to know yourself first. Glad that u realised ur wrong doings. Start changing yourself man. Have good nad healthy foods you love. Live a good life. And start being kind to your parents and then to your first. Avoid people who are trying to use you and try to be as much independent as possible. Start appreciating other ones' good works and listen to good songs and start making a good habit. The first few days will be difficult. But the little things do matter. And dont hustle too fast to be in a relationship. I hope you can again find yourself in a relationship. And do make adjustments. Also if you still find yourself in troubles. Then do go to a good psychologist for treatment. Trust me there is nothing to be ashamed about it. The one thing that absolutely needs to be taken care of is mental health and majority of us neglect it and fall into troubles while failing to control our behaviour becoming more paranoid. Lastly start by loving yourself.

I don't know much about a toxic relationship ..but I do know the pressure of replying to someone's text all the time ..... my friendship with a classmate in school ..became toxic for more than 5-6 months ...I knew her for 3 years...but she changed in between ..a lot .... she would always fight with me say things which would hurt me ..I would show no reaction but I used constantly think about the things she said.... and after some days she would act normal as if nothing happened ..she would often say 'leave me' and break the friendship ..but I didn't as I thought she will change back ... because for her habit I started to avoid seeing my phone for days. And my other friends would get angry cuz I didn't replied to them for 1-3 days ... but slowly I started to understand my friend why was doing all the thing she was doing and why our friendship became toxic ...our friendship is now better than ever and I'm now happy with all the people I have in my life :)

But it was long distance so it was never physical. We did meet once but that was it. And I had friends who made me realise early signs of this toxic relationship so I got out of it early before it got worse. When I started gettin out of his life slowly, He said he loves me and started saying that he didn't mean to hurt me and that he'll change for me. He drank and smoke a lot too, I asked him to limit and he said no without hesitating. It was all online so it was easy for me to get away from him. so I totally understood your situation and I'm proud of you for being so strong❤️
