I believe Honus’s card went for a record $1.7M recently (*edit* $6M!). The only reason it’s so expensive is because they were released in cigarette packs. When Honus found out about it (he was very much against it), he told them to remove it and they did. So only a handful actually went out.

honus just recently sold for around $6 million I believe. Broke the record once again. Cards keep breaking each other’s records on a monthly basis. A mantle rookie did go for 5.2 million earlier in the year it was a psa 9 not even a 10. The 3 owners of the psa 10s apparently have diamond hands and wouldn’t consider selling under 10 million at the least. Crazy!!
