She helps Hope be a better person. They even caught both Kendra and Sophie, who were defacing the school and were about to blame it on Jake, which got them both suspended from school. As for Hope relationship with her mom. She would say that the reason she distanced herself from her was because she felt like she didn't love or care about her. Where Hope's mom apologized for how she treated her and told her that she's taking time off work to make up for lost time.
