Nice video and story. I encourage you to consider making inspirational videos. There is a market for inspirational videos. There are a lot out there, but most are simplistic, and very few are based on complex ideas or robust scientific knowledge. You have a nice voice so you could narrate them yourself.

Whoa! Thanks a lot for the kind words. I'm definitely going to make more videos that I hope inspire people to do what makes them happy. Or, at least search for what makes them happy. I'm glad you brought up science, too. Something I learned from my experience last year is how the brain works and why traveling made me happier. Hi Anthony, I apologize for the negative tone of this reply, but I thought I should tell you a few things about the book you recommended (You are the Placebo). Dr. Joe Dispenza is a chiropractic practitioner in the new age health industry that preys on gullible people for personal profit. He is not a medical doctor, and not a scientist. Chiropractic therapy is considered “alternative” medicine, like homeopathy and naturopathy. The position of the scientific community and mainstream medicine is that chiropractic therapy and other forms of alternative medicine are pseudoscience, because properly controlled clinical studies (and meta-analyses and systematic reviews) have found no evidence that that they are effective. The following is a joke by Tim Minchin, but it is actually true: “By definition, alternative medicine has either not been proved to work or been proved not to work. Do you know that they call alternative medicine that’s been proved to work? Medicine.” Here’s another quote by Richard Dawkins, a celebrated scientist and well-known public intellectual: “There is no alternative medicine. There is only medicine that works and medicine that doesn't work.” Medicine that works should give better results than placebo in properly controlled clinical trials. Chiropractic therapy does not do this. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses (reviews which look at all the scientific evidence accumulated to date) have found that spinal manipulation is ineffective at treating any condition, and is frequently associated with mild to moderate adverse events. (check the wikipedia page on chiropractic, it provides a lot of references) The reason Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book has a lot of positive reviews from readers on Amazon and Goodreads is precisely because the kinds of people who read new age books and self-help books like this tend not to be scientifically literate and they tend to enjoy this kind of thing. Authors like Dr. Joe Dispenza know this, and they come back again and again for more. I consider it highly unethical. This book has had absolutely no impact in the scientific community because it is not science and is not supported by robust evidence. Authors in the new age and self-help genres attempt to appear authoritative by putting fake credentials next to their name, like “Dr.” or “M.D.” or “PhD. Dr. Joe Dispenza has never graduated from a regular university. He is not a medical doctor. He studied at “Life University”, a new age “holistic health” institute established by chiropractor Sid E. Williams in 1974 ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_University ). Joe Dispenza failed first year biochemistry at Rutgers University and dropped out ( rationalwiki.org/wiki/What_the_Bleep_Do_We_Know%3F ). If you go to the science section of a book shop and look at popular science books written by actual scientists, you will notice that they do not tend to advertise their academic credentials in front of their name. It's ironic that Joe Dispenza has written a book about the placebo effect considering he practices a form of medicine that has not been found to be more effective than placebo in properly controlled clinical studies. I encourage you to exercise skepticism and read more widely in the field of science. Avoid writers like Joe Dispenza (and most writers of self-help books, e.g. Deepak Chopra). They are swindlers who do not care about truth. If you want to be inspired, read an award-winning science book like Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything", "Thinking, fast and slow" by Daniel Kahneman", "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins, "Isaac Newton" by James Gleick, or choose a book from a list like this: www.listmuse.com/100-best-science-books-time.php

@@mklives2 I should have said read it with caution! I had this same conversation with a friend a week ago. I enjoyed the book because I'm interested in epigenetics, quantum mechanics and how the brain works. All areas that we don't fully understand, yet. I'm open to hearing other people's opinion regarding those areas of interest, but I absolutely read with caution and proceed to research more about what they say from other viewpoints. I also read, "Thinking, Fast and Slow." I enjoyed it, but also looked more into the studies that he cited in the book. I think there's more to life and how we think than what's been proven in the scientific community. I don't know what that is, which is why I spend a decent amount of my time reading and applying my own experiences to possibilities. Thanks for sharing the link to a list of books to read. I'll be looking that over and finding a few new ones!

If you mean free land as in public land, it’s illegal to camp in a vehicle there unless you pitch a tent and have a permit. RV parks are generally on the beach and are very nice and mostly cheap because there are no hook ups and parcels could be cheap on the North shore, waterfront. I will be buying an apartment and then buying a waterfront house for my family. Sadly, RV-ing is almost impossible in Hawaii. If it were, it would greatly improve the homelessness situation there. I even had an idea for airstream to buy land and build RV parks with clean energy and septic tanks on Oahu and then advertise their cheaper travel trailers. This would corner the market and not to mention the positive impact it would have on the society.

It was a combination of spending money I saved and then income from an online store I started. Since I was on the move most of the time, I had Amazon fulfill orders.
