The scammer is hoping for function dementia. Just enough self awareness to make a bank transfer. The world has changed a lot since online scammers have become a routine issue. So many older people just have no idea. They wouldn’t know a key logger from a lumberjack.

First, you are amazing! This is the first full call I listened to (as opposed to the many edited versions I've enjoyed). It made me realize how emotionally draining this might be for you (it was for me) and that you have to steel yourself against feeling any warmth or human kinship from these humans that are doing such a bad, bad thing, but have families and lives and maybe really hate what they're doing. Maybe they have to fight the self-hatred that they feel, or maybe they feel nothing, but, even though their saying they are your friend is false, maybe they feel the tiniest, tiniest bit of humanity and hope when they claim mutual friendship, even though they have one goal in mind, which is to rob you. It's strangely emotional, though maybe I'm a "snowflake" and feel too much. You are brilliant at what you do, and keep it up, waste their time, steal their files, make them feel the guilt, but do healthy things to make sure you're staying sane. The thing that makes me the angriest is listening to the other predators in the background, using the same script and maybe being succesful, while we listen helplessly. Their needs to be a squadron of "Rinoas" working on this 24/7. Much love and respect. Steve

I'm glad I found your video, Rinoa. I got the same bill for $399.99 from Deana Manley for Norton Security program on 2/28/24 and I called the 800 telephone # for assist and I got an Indian gent named Kevin except he had me go to Any Desk and we went round about for awhile when I finally said, "look, I can't stay on the phone any longer. We can deal with this at another time. He gave me a badge # as a security code that I would have to give to talk with Kevin. At one point I said I feared hacking and crooked behavior and wondered if he was in India and Kevin said no, he was in California. I won't take any more calls. Thank you for the cool, patient and instructive video with humor thrown in. "David, Mike and Peter" met their match and then some!

you could make a soundboard of all the possible answers to all questions they might ask, and play it. Or you could just improv your answers to anything they say to you, which would be a LOT easier?
