Question though: Since you didn't restitch the lasting board onto the bottom of the uppers and only glued them in, doesn't that make the structure of the shoe much weaker? What about the shoe means it takes two pairs to make another one? I'm confused because the first one came off clean, and the second one didn't. But then the strobel wasnt put in before the midsole and I don't understand this method of assembly. From what I know the shoe is lasted then attached to the midsole/outsole. Also does acetone destroy the nubuck that badly?

Vick said that because he has to get to the upper, in order to do that it destroys the sole...And vice versa, so in order to get the correct pieces he needs, he had to bite the bullet and use two pairs...The acetone destroys the material, leaving it unusable.
