@@WellBattle6 Yes! This! It's still the thing that infuriates me the most, the biggest culture shock from playing it. It took me so long to get used to cautiously scanning environments and moving slowly. Really the second you move, or fire your weapon, even in the slightest, it can risk your life. Probably my favorite part of both games, though personally I think Rising Storm does it better, particularly the Vietnam one. Squad is more for the tactics, modern warfare, and I love the vehicles.

Fun Fact: The cutscene right before you have to kill the Tiger tank at the end of mission 6, it is supposed to show a tank pull up but it doesn't load in. You can tell by the smoke trails in the cutscene.

As far as I can tell from playing the game (although I've always used satchel charges to do the first part), the rear armor gets blown off to expose the engine, which you can then damage with the AP rounds to make the engine eventually catch fire, then causing it to blow up. Can I explain how they blow off the rear armor without the satchel charge? Uh, best I can come up with is "volume of fire," or something that has to do with the exhaust, but I'm no expert. Alternatively, it could very easily be a gameplay design so that players can kill the tank even in the absence of panzerfausts or satchel charges.

@@legoeasycompany It works in SE3 exactly like in SE5 though. You also had to shoot a vent at the rear of the Tiger repeatedly with AP rounds to make the engine catch fire.

4:43 In a bit of a nerd moment, I might as well drop something here. Ever heard of “APDSFS”? A shell loaded in a discarding case that allows a “subcaliber round” to be shot out of a tank. This smaller round concentrates energy on a much smaller area, so it can penetrate armor better than a full-caliber AP round. Might explain how a smaller-sized pistol round can destroy the KT better than the AT. Or I’m just full of BS and you tried an AT rifle already. Maybe bc he shot in the rear, where armor is almost weakest? Idk.

I miss the days of the first Sniper Elite. The enemies are not many but hell can they shoot. With max setting, throw a grenade wrong and you're dead. Same with tank shots, exploding vehicle, all the explosives are hell. Plus, the stories are more realistic, without the action hero moment I actually feel like I'm learning real history. The game even forces you to play it stealth like real snipers, it even teaches you to relocate every few shots to avoid being tracked and such.
