Technically the Yamato never saw combat with other naval ships since the Japanese wanted to boast that they had the worlds largest ship but also didn’t want to break it.

what's funny is that even if we gave it a fair fight in a 1v1 slug out with our iowa class ship we'd win. why? our armor was deemed sufficient for contact ergo we could fight... but most importantly, our guns were faster firing and more accurate, we had a higher chance of landing shots and much more in that same timeframe. so even if they had the same quantity as us and were happy to use them,USA still wins in all likelihood.

@@bloodlove93 brother , no battleship can take hits from 460mm guns. The USA had better fire control systems , radar and such. Iowa would most certainly win if she stayed at range. But not because "she can take a hit"

The reason your torpedo isn't very effective is because corpse weren't generally used to directly impact they were fired under a ship and the cavitation from the explosion broke the keel of the ship with hog and sag

I find it cool that 1 the end of the battle exit door is a ships door and 2 that on the little bar showings shells and ships that when a ship is hit it flashes so if your zoomed in on one ship and the other flashes you can go back and check on it to see what happened

I noticed that on the Yamato the middle guns amo is stored closer to the top of the ship because it's above the boilers if you moved that gun forward a bit you could store the amount farther down in the ship potentially decreasing the chances of an explosion 43:05

The Bismarck sank the hms hood because the Bismarck fired to many shots so the hms hood exploded because a fire on the deck and the hms hood had a lot of holes on the side and then one of the bullets from the Bismarck hit the funnel
