Luigi has hard hitting normals except for nair, like captain falcon, as well as the tech chase potential of sheik. Just a shame he has to try 4x as hard as both combined to be as successful.

A lot of tiny changes would make characters really good. G&W for example literally just needs a bigger shield and to be able to L-cancel all of his moves and he’d be extremely good.

Probably a mix of not having such a fixed recovery and being almost too slidey in weird moments, his combo game is fine. Whenever I play against a luigi and they get pushed away in shield so far away that it’s a neutral reset as falco I feel bad for them because they have to work pretty hard to get another opening. It’s nice being able to have that push back cause you’re safe against some characters potentially, but at the same time it’s a difficult thing to try and regain center or find an opening safely too. (At least against a character like Falco, but in general it feels like luigi has to commit pretty heavily to an approach option) This goes into the same thing but being less floaty in general probably would help too, like mango said, since even trying to get up to top platform on battlefield is a journey for the plumber

I am so glad mango notices doc is better than luigi. Luigi can't play neutral, one of the worst recoverys, and gets juggled like crazy. All he has is an insane combo game up b conferms, and and great edgeguarding. I feel there is just a lot more doc can do in general which Luigi just can't. Luigi is worse than doc for sure.
