10,000 pushups in a month, you’re probably thinking: that is way too much, that can’t be healthy.
Yeah. you’re right. But for the sake of science, I had to try it.
I let my best friends and brother do 200 pushups a day for 30 days, and actually all of them saw similar results even though they all had different levels of experience.
But I can’t stay behind and I had to go next level for next level gains, maybe? Hopefully? This is going to be painful, this better be worth it
And it was.. here is my journey, and if you should or shouldn’t do it.

You cannot do a perfect pullup from the first day, there is a progress timeline that you should follow to get to do pushups.

This has inspired me to do my own challenge! I'm going to do 200 pushups a day for a whole year. I'm taking Sunday as a rest day though, so I don't hurt myself. Thank you for making this, you're a huge inspiration!

​@@snowleopardsealThanks for asking! It went really well for the first few months, and I got up to 300 a day at one point. I reached 18,000 pushups, but I stopped. Though I was seeing great results, they weren't proportional to the amount of work I put in. Doing a bunch of reps of something easy leads to less dramatic results than increasing difficulty and decreasing reps. There was also a big risk involved in so much repetitive motion. I had a very slight mistake in my form that I didn't notice, and when that was magnified, it led to me injuring my shoulder. Overall, I would not recommend this.

Hey browney! This was my last day of doing 200 pushups everyday for 30 days! Snd the results was INSANE. My chest grew 1,5 centimeters, and my new record for pushups in one set is 81💪😃

As a Muay Thai Practitioner , I've to do 100 push-ups daily as warm-up everyday. We have to train for 6 hours everyday. We have to train 6 times every week except Sundays. So 10,000 pushups a month is like a Warm-up for Muay Thai Practitioner.

@@ok-qp7kl 🌝🌝🌝 Sometimes it feels good to flex u know 😂😂. Why don't u come to Thailand and learn Muay Thai. I bet within few months you'll become strong enough to beat any average person who isn't well trained in any Martial Arts. You'll have to workout and Practice around 5-6 hours everyday in the gym. I've been doing this shit since I was 9 years old and I'm 19 rn. Btw it's a kind of Thai tradition that's y most kids around 7-10 years old start learning Muay Thai.

My New Year's goal was 50,000 pushups for the year - about 150 a day. After less then 2 months I'm already at 7,250. This is good motivation to keep pushing! ;)

@@valentino-yv4vw Hard to say at this point. I've always been fairly in shape and lean (5'9" - 140lbs) and have done lots of push ups over the years so I think maybe I am getting fractional muscle gains, but also getting stronger overall. My main takeaway from my own experience and Brownys is fatigue. I wake up sore every morning. Not sore enough to not want to do pushups, but still sore. What I'm enjoying is that I feel like I almost always have a mini-pump on since I tend to scatter the pushups throughout the day in batches of 25/50. Rest is important though. I will start experimenting soon with say doing 100 one day, and then 200 the next and see if that helps my chest recover at all. Another thing I recently read is you should be stretching your chest when working it this much. That is not something I've been doing, so hopefully with some stretches mixed in, the soreness will go down.

I started the same challenge but with only 100 push ups, haven’t done much since the gyms closed so I wanted to do something again ans this is genuinely crazy. When I started after a long break it took me 15.5 +/- minutes to do 100 push ups. I’m only on day 7 and since the pain stopped (since day 4 r smth) my time went faster and faster and at this point it only took me 7.5 minutes to do the 100 push ups. I’m so happy I started and seeing you do 333 a day is crazy to see.

Absolutely love watching your videos it gives me so much inspiration, as someone who works out a lot, I have one big question, how do you stay so toned/ripped all year around, like obviously we see you get even more ripped around the summer seasons or for particular challenges but how do you stay at such a base line low body fat percentage, I see myself go through the ordinary changes of bulking and cutting each year rather then just staying so consistent, so please tell us how do you do it browney ?!?!?

This week I started doing 100 pushups a day and lemme tell u, it feels great when the lactic acid is really built up on the last 5 and i still push though. This channel always gets me psyched to be healthy!

@@rYAn-hy6ks But why wouldn't it be worth it? You have to start somewhere. If 100 is what you can do, that is perfectly fine for the first month. Doing 200 is not necessarily a good thing, as it often injures you (these very fit guys were quickly complaining about shoulder and wrist pains). I would recommend every other day, or maybe two days of training, and then a rest day. So your body have time to recover, and actually build up muscle.

@@HereIAm247 the reason why 10000 pushups didnt work much for barney because there was no break.. the muscles couldnt relax and expand when u do heavy stuff u gotta give ur body break.. so 30days of pushups leads to minimum imrovement without rest day

@@kkev1 Um, just ignore the other person, that’s some crazy talk. Just keep it chill, get comfortable with pushups and increasing the reps slowly. I’d also suggest some ab work and leg work throughout the week (maybe 2-3 times a week). If you have a place to do pull-ups add some of them as you don’t want an unbalanced body. Your 14, still got another 2-3 years before you can safely start pushing your body pretty hard. Do your best, see what you can do bro👍

Just keep doing 1, then 1 more, then 1, then 1, then 1, a day, and so on until you can do more. Trust me, pushups do WONDERS for and on your body (+ your physique)!! 💪

Browney is my motivation to start a 30 day 100 push ups a day I just completed my I did 1100 cuz I did 300 diamonds and 300 extra push-ups I just realised that I was struggling to do 10 push ups in a row and now I can do 30 in a row and i more thing si that u will struggle to do this challenge and have pain for 4-5 days then I will go so my advice for the people who is doing this and reading this comment is that don’t quit the challenge cuz of pain it will go within 4-5 day I am telling this from my experience

I used to do between 1600-1800 push-ups every week day, I’d start not long after returning home from work & would do push-ups during commercials until I went to bed. When I started, I could barely do 10 push-ups, by the time co-workers noticed a change & I was being asked about my workout routine. I honestly didn’t know. I did know that I could do between 65-75 push-ups during the span of most commercials keeping a solid pace without loosing good form or pushing to fast. I would change up my hand placement, sometimes doing dive-bombers, sometimes diamond push-ups, parallel to my shoulders at 90 degrees, sometimes tucked in close to my chest, some inclined, etc. Doing so focused on other areas minimizing fatigue as I rotated through the night, I counted them out loud recording each set & totaling up the nights count. I did this for two weeks to reach the average range previously mentioned. After a while, I started incorporating lat pulls & pull ups into my commercial break workout routine, my push-up count decreased to 40-50 reps eventually as I went from 2 pull-ups to being able to do 40 wide grip full form pull-ups. I’m 57 now & 5 almost 6 years ago suffered a dramatic injury to my left shoulder requiring surgery. I have regained about 98% full motion. I can still do about 20 regular push-ups & almost 10 diamonds but both take a large effort. I’d like to get back to where I once was but IDK if that’s realistic especially since I don’t watch TV or get local programming. Yet I need to shed 20lbs, put on a little more muscle & get in good general condition again. Getting started & keeping committed is difficult but I know it’s doable & the toughest will be the first 2-4 weeks.
