Day 22 of commenting this rebuild idea: make an expansion team and follow these rules. You can take 1 player from each team but the teams get to protect their starter roster. This roster would be qb1, rb1/2, wr1/2/3, te1/2, each starter on the oline, le1, re1, dt1/2, lolb1, rolb1, mlb1/2, cb1/2/3, ss1, fs1, k1, and p1. You'll then have a 32 man roster that you can fill by signing free agents. But your team is a new team on a low budget so you can only sign free agents to 1 year deals starting preseason week 1. However you resign whichever players you want for however long you want. You can also make whatever trades you want. For the draft you let the cpu pick to spice things up. You end the vid once you win a super bowl.

Here's a tip that I would recommend to you Brandon if you want to have a good pass rusher. I've found that through experimentation that if you were to trade for Drew Sanders from the Broncos and develop him at outside linebacker so he develops as a pass rusher but make him the starting middle linebacker on normal downs and have him be an edge rusher on third downs he gets a ton of sacks, TFLs, and general tackles and he develops very well and will often win rookie of the year mainly beating out Will Anderson a lot. If you were to do this for his rookie and sophomore years he can easily win awards like best linebacker and will quickly develop into a superstar x-factor which in turn makes him an even better pass rusher.

Just a little insight why the free agency was quite good. Basically had the worse roster in the league. You can’t go around just spending all your cap space in one off season and can’t draft 30 players. So you have to supplement in free agency short 1 year deals with decent old players to build culture and fill in holes that you can’t repair this year
