A tip for you Kendall. Use bait you find where you are fishing, that's what the fish are eating. In the video I saw shells of burrowing mussels - we call "pipi's" - everything in the ocean eats them. Easy to get a bucket full at low tide, just by wiggling your feet into the sand.

Get a kayak and some good bait and night fish. Haul bait out and drop it about 50 yards out. Fun as hell. Can't remember when mullet run is but c if any locals fishing. Crawfordsville great town. If you get yourself a surf rig where you just have to clip on a 3 oz triangle weight use frozen shrimp then thaw it out and get about quad deep in the ocean and cast you should get some fish.

Destin bridge between Destin and okaloosa island. Sheepshead and redfish are usually there or at the jetties. I usually pull my 5th wheel from LA and just rent a boat for the day. Catch jacks in the harbor too. My kin runs a restaurant under the brooks bridge between okaloosa island and ft Walton beach, we usually catch our fair share of sheepshead and drum there and trout on the docks in the bay.

Seeing the pelican's fly overhead reminded me of a rhyme my uncle used to say: Oh, a wonderful bird is the pelican Whose beak can hold more than its' belly-can It can hold in its' beak enough for a week And I don't know how in the hell-he-can Since our uncle taught it to us, this was the one time I was able to use the third last word without getting into trouble so us kids said it a lot. Plus, the lake where their cabin was had a lot of pelicans.
