The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. @@anusharay5961 It’s so sad to see. Especially w s8 kids, since I had known a few of them for a while before the show. Pressley lives a town or two over from me, so a few years back I’d ALWAYS see her at competition, especially local ones. And Gia, though I’m assuming Theater was her first love, when at convention she’d take 2 out of the 7 or 8 mandatory classes at convention. (And my sister’s old dance teammate was in Matilda w her as well) I mean you can clearly see people who actually want to dance with Abby and don’t care as much about the show (OGs, Payton, Nick, etc.) but the. Others just want to be on the show (such as the people whom would only train on camera, but wouldn’t take the classes when the cameras were off?

I believe they were planning on being homeschooled even before they got kicked out - that’s why legal action couldn’t be taken against them. Because they already signed up for a homeschooling system, but didn’t officially start it until after the girls got kicked out.

@Aimi Rose not true, Christi fought for Nia, Paige, Brooke, and Mackenzie multiple times and were happy for them when they won. She didn’t condone Melissa and Jill because of the secrets, lies, and manipulation they would use to get what they want for their kids. And you have to remember a lot of this is heavily edited, “scripted”, and manipulated by producers. Melissa and Jill never stood up for other children they way the other moms did.

I really admire Maddie as a dancer, but the only reason she wins is because she repeats the same exact solo with a few different steps, it’s always lyrical, that’s what she is good at. But the other girls, always different style, different choreography and they rarely get solos in a style that they’re pretty good at. However, they are all magnificent dancers !

They called her sneaky because she tried to take opportunities from other children (like not giving them privates), lying about children so that her daughters would get even more love from Abby (saying that Chloe rolled her eyes in class when Maddie wasn'tgiven a solo for 2 weeks) and overall lying (2 sapphires/wishbone). Melissa did all these things to benefit her child, yes. But it was at the expense of other children, so it was ethically wrong.

Agreed 100%. Those children were heavily mistreated, and most were behind in social skills & education. For me, dancing is just an after school activity/passion and shouldn’t be acknowledged more than education. Although Maddie & Mackenzie we’re technically used to become professionals and Broadway stars, education and social development in such young children should be taken more seriously. You can’t have a professional dancer who doesn’t know how to socialise, or who is anti-social.

After watching the clip of Yolanda going into the class and kind of destroying Elliana’s chance and her saying “you HAD to go in there”,reminds me of the time Yolanda went and kept on saying that lily and Macy were bullying Elli, and Elli said “There not bullying me mom just stop”. Now it’s very clear that Yolanda is speaking for her child and not letting her speak for herself, even though i’m not a big fan of Elliana and what she’s doing now I do think that she had a great talent and her mom ruined it for her. Also I think that after Kelly, Brooke and Paige lest the show went downhill, the mini moms and the most recent season is honestly not that great.

exactly and no other studio acts like that. if you want a private you pay for them! or i think melissa worked the front desk for maddie to have privates which my old studio also allowed. you could work a shift for 1 class or work for a private depeding on hours/cost etc

I believe they were bothered because each girl had a limit of private hours, what means that they could only get a certain number of private classes. But Maddie and Kenzie got extra time, so that's why was unfair. And also, for a private to happen, a teacher need to be available, and the teachers where always "more available" for the Zieglers, because Abby told them to. (I watched the full episodes on tv years ago, that's how I know it)

honestly i think melissa was right. she homeschooled her kids so they would have more time to dance and if that means that her kids get more lesson time and privates then so be it. Kelly and christi said they wanted brooke Paige and chloe to have a more normal life and that's good, but they cant get mad when their kids don't have time for as many privates as maddie and Mckenzie.
