I mean it does kind of but anyways like I’m Mexican and I got like 2c hair and I constantly struggle with it and I straighten it everyday but that doesn’t mean whites or Asians or whatever don’t struggle too. Any person can have wavy or curly hair really , it just depends. So we don’t gotta make this all about race 😰

These turned out so good. Helpful tip: since your using the rubber band method, just pre-part your entire hair. This helps you go a little bit faster since you don't have to stop and part, you can just pull apart the first row and separate the others with a clip

I remember doing my first box braids (this year, like in August) using the rubber band method and they were cute.... but they fell out a few weeks later and I ended up doing it without the rubber bands and it lasted longer 😭 yours looks great tho

Omg D.. yesterday (which was Friday for me) I had experienced a failed wash and go and just cried because I wanted to braid myself and I just can’t part the back and people would say “use a mirror” and I’d say wtf I don’t have no stand up mirror but now seeing how u did it with the boxed and the mirror really inspired me and gave me a ton of ideas I think I can make work. It looks good asf 😍‼️ oh and just a tip it’s easier to part all you hair and put it in rubber bands first so then you can just get that out of the way. I use the rubber band method and that’s easier for me and it cut down the time by about an hour.

a way to do these faster if you're using the rubber band method i would suggest sectioning off all your parts first then start the braiding

Great video, for a tip try to do the rubber bands at night or early in the morning. That way if you have to run out you can just put the little ponytails into one big one and handle your business. That's what I usually do. It saves time and gives you the freedom to enjoy your day. You look great.
